PS5 VRR problems test #2

Oh I see the problem with the handshake it's the colour format it becomes washed out when you close game it's automatically setting it to full RGB hdr for some reason causing the picture to get that way, then wen you got it working again your colour format was bk to how it was at start of video YUV4.2.2 hdr where it looks good. Change your resolution transfer rate to -1 in ps settings I believe locks it at yuv4.2.2 and might fix your automatic transfer rate handshake issue. Like idk for sure but I'm pretty sure it will fix it lol. I have spent literally hours trying to fix stupid handshake issues.

Same Problem with my Denon X6700H. Elden Ring and Uncharted in VRR are washed out when they start, however if I go inside the HDMI section of the Denon SETUP with the game already started and change any setting (no matter which) the colors go back to normal until I exit the game. Then, if I quit the game and restart I have to do the trick again. This does not happen if I connect the PS5 directly to the Sony A80J therefore I believe the glitch depends on the Denon AVR.

Its good RU-vidrs report any glitch or problems because Sony can fix it with a patch but I wonder if it’s happening on all Tv or just specific ones

Does VRR work on all the games you tested? Specifically in games that are in 60fps; when the tick box is set to enable for all games?

Can you test out Call of Duty Cold War and Vanguard VRR on your LG OLED for us ….would love to see how my LG C9 compares with FPS games on PS5 🍺💯💯💯

Still haven't got vrr to work got the update but nothing has changed on sound and screen setting no vrr mode

Colors are not fine. It is 8 bit when it was 12 bit in 60 fps. You can see it in the info bar

PS5 doesn't support FREESYNC Premium, only "hdm-vrr". On Xbox BOTH are supported, it always says "FREESYNC Active" in VRR info tab

Test pls bloodborn and cyberpunk in ray tracing mode

Yup I think the glitch is on the VRR and your AVR

Anyone had a chance to try out Dead by Daylight. I know it is not supported, but this is my favorite game and heard unsupported games got a boost as well.
