I've been running a rifle buffer and A1 stock (Brownells) on my 16 inch Aero Precision middy and have been loving it. so smooth. Consistent. No function issues so far.
Qualified at 500 yds shooting with iron sights on an A1 and A2, used nothing but that butt stock!!! And I just don't know why I don't have one on my recent dmr build??? Thanks dude! 👍
I've got a 16" PSA complete upper with stainless heavy barrel, M4 handguard, mated with a PSA lower. Aftermarket parts in the lower. I had another lower on it before with a CAR stock. It seemed pretty over gassed in that configuration. So the PSA lower got an A2 stock (UTG). The rifle length components made it recoil very light and smooth. I first tested steel case 223 55grn in it and it really likes that ammo. Then tried 556 55grn and it felt slightly under gassed in a way but functioned fine also. I may just leave it as is with either ammo it's reliable. Or I may try reducing the buffer weight a little and test fire again. All in all it's a really nice shooting rifle, very well balanced with the A2 stock.
Just so you know, buffer springs and tubes and gas system lengths will work Interchangeably and shouldn’t matter at all, weather SBR gas length with a longer buffer or vice versa.
So im guessing your first real gun and first time shooting said gun. LOL entertaining to say the least. Was time to move up and on from airsoft tho. lol
@John B It's a Safe Life Defense Tactical with their iiia+ Plates. I bought this as the concealable and later got the Tactical carrier for the versatility. Lol and the tactical is more practical.
