PSA: Account Wide Currencies Are Awesome; You Can Start NOW 

Just make it a shared currency tab, no reason to not just do what gw2 does

There should just be a "currency"tab for your account. You should not have to transfer anything. Just IMO.

Rep not being account-wide was why I quit WoW so long ago (because I was a rep/mount farmer, but wanted to change mains.. and that meant losing ALL my progress, especially un-re-obtainable legacy ones..) so I’m glad it’s finally gonna be a thing!

Been seeing some screenshots that says there is a cost associated with this transfer ... god i really hope they dont create Warbands and pretend to be alt friendly and then put costs on transferring between alts

I'm confused. Why is a currency transfer better than a shared currency?!

They should make two ranks of flightstones, and you could transfer between characters but when you transfer it loses the higher rank, and that means it would not be able to upgrade as high, but it would still be usable for alts.

Why is there a conversion cost at all for some currencies? Why do I need to manually transfer them between characters instead of it being pooler account wide? All old currencies not transferrable???

Spamming alts to cheese the currency grind sounds great. But after MOP remix, I can just see Blizzard being like "fun is stupid, we're going to make dailies and weeklies be account wide, go screw yourself!" MOP gave me an opportunity to come back to the game, and I was totally blindsided by how adamant Blizzard is at taking great ideas and finding ways to fuck with people. And I'm not even talking about the frog stuff. I'm not against fixing obvious exploits. What screwed me over is that I was thinking the cape would level up with my character and then I can help my alts. But they capped it for some reason. Furthermore, every alt becomes basically bricked around 60+ because scaling is bad. I had it in my mind that I would lvl up one character, and it would be hard. But then after that one was lvl 70, I'd make an alt, and that character would be like New Game+ and inherent all the stats from the previous character. And then just keep rolling stats until my 10th alt was like god mode. But basically stat stacking is capped, and it's pointless. So now I just get all my alts to lvl 50 and basically shelve them until Timewalking or something comes out.

i got that arcadian turtle back in the day, but it didnt seem so bad to me because i really enjoyed Legion the whole time.

i will actually poop everywhere if they make time walking badges account wide :D

I need to check and see what deleted characters are still available to restore. I have some vanilla characters on that list that should have loose currencies on them. Argent Tournament and Darkmoon fair for example.

My old "Main" is solo finishing Legion, as that is where he left off. I have alts solo finishing BFA and SL. I got DF but I have not yet done anything. So much Lore and achievements I have missed over the years.

They should make every currency uncapped and account wide without any transfers. And if they want to limit power progression just limit the amount you can spend on a character instead of how much you can earn.

I've got some stuff in bags atm, soulbound but not my armor type that already say 'saved for future warband' - so I have to keep hold of those

Would have liked to have this during BFA. Would have made buying the Bronto a lot easier. As it was, I had to do a bunch of crazy things to move money around, including changing a character from Alliance to Horde to transfer the funds from my Alliance alt characters to get all the gold in one place.

I have different class alt for each profession. Sharing resources will be a boon for me!!!

How are warbounds gonna work for the Covenant Armor you cant buy but are drops from things like the Venthyr Mirrors or Abom Stitching? Will those now drop all armor types, or will you still need a separate character of each armor type?

In 2024 I’d think coding that wouldn’t be too monumental of a task to make the currencies account wide rather than making players deal with unnecessary annoyances. It definitely means I’ll be engaging in the content a lot less than I otherwise would. One of the things I hate most is managing inventory and mailing stuff around.

Hopefully they make the rewards from the Legion class mounts/rewards account wide too

Oh yeah, you'll be super strong in Remix at level 70 with 100k bronze, you can almost get through a heroic dungeon without dying.

I never played that much with alts, but these changes definitely promote playing alts.

Still waiting on them to fix my demo lock's inability to transmog a two-handed weapon into any skin I have collected for use on my demon. They provide us the glyph but block every way for us to fix up weapons to get appearances we want. So, instead, we are stuck with RNG in the hopes that we get the weapon to drop for our lock... which, when it is a weapon for latest content, means we will never get it. They really should disable the thing that cleans transmogs from heirlooms we mail between alts. I could change up a weapon on another char and ship it over to solve this... but apparently that is too much. No idea why this is even a thing. Not only that, but with the traders tendor shop, we cannot use those cosmetic skins for the purpose. :(

Do you know if you can collect Molten core, BWL, etc... tier tokens?

7th-legion and honorbound medals, are they fungible? and by that i mean can you convert one fo the other by sending between factions on separate characters?

so im wondering if this will work with honor after a point like currently we can send honor to alts via box from vendor but this would make gearing alts for pvp ALOT easyer cause i could just play my main.

is Gold accwide? so i dont have to put minimal amounts of gold on twinks so they can use flight paths?

Any chance you are able to test a scenario? I've got a few character from back in the day which have reputation, so they will be converted to account wide, but with remix now, I am leveling a new character with the intention of removing that character one War within has launched. Will i loose that rep or will it stay?

Im a little disappointed that we cant just have every currency in one window and actually have to transfer it around, but if im being fair, this will be a one time issue maybe at the start. I am just happy we get the option to do it now :)

Okay so I have a question... I've always wanted The Twin Blades of Azzinoth transmog on my DH. But for the achievement you need to have both blades equipped on the same character. Now, one blade is on my monk the other one on my druid. Will I be able to get the transmog through warbands now or do I still need to have the two blades on one character?

when will this currency thing release? Cuz I heard when prepatch releases from the vid, but how will you be able to transfer bronze like mentioned since the event will be over?

With this I might just take my MoP Remix alt army en mass to work through grinding out SL and dump all the Anima into one at a time until I knock out each covenant.

It really should just be proper account wide instead of account-tradable. Guess I will either make or wait for someone to make an addon that automatically transfers currencies to specific characters.

Will the "increased anima gains" achievements aka Sanctum Superior be active for the entire warband? I'd like to not have to max out to get the most out of anima gains on each character.

Thanks for the currency update - but as you say missing out the Darkmoon Prize Tickets and Timewarped Badges isn't great - it feels a bit like Robin William's sketch on partial nuclear disarmament Live at the Met. About 28 minuntes in the bit about summits - I am really showing my age. That said off to the Torunament I go with my Army of Alts - now if only we could name warbands...

I have 30 chars on my account. Will all the currencies that are shareable already be on the warband currency tab when prepatch starts or does each char have to stock it there?

Hey Bellular! Do i understand this right? Its about the Reputation, if i have before the Prepatch Launched, for example, 1000 Rep on one character and 1000 Rep on another character, i get 2000 Rep for this Fraction in the war within or does only count the "Maximum Rep" for all characters? i hope u know what i mean

Did they say Covenant Renown would be accountwide? Cause at one point recently Ion said they wouldn't be, which SUCKS because a ton of backpieces are rep-locked (which they said they wouldn't do before SL)

I don't understand why they don't implement account-wide currencies in World of Warcraft. It would eliminate the need for transfers and provide a straightforward, quickly accessible currency system.

Will currencies on deleted toons be counted or do we have to begin to undelete toons?

My personal fear is that I'm going to have to try to log into an account that was banned due to mass reporting when classic came out and I'm just not going to be able to get half of my stuff

The onlything I give a shit about is Timewalking Badges, of course it's the one thing they haven't done. I have 65 alts. 60 of them have about 2-3k Timewalking currencies. It's so annoying. Why are they not making this a thing?!?

so now we can not only spend hours figuring out and mailing money between characters, but also spend hours and hours finding out what currency we have on what characters, which is especially nice if you have like 40 60+ characters instead of just sharing all currency between all characters, how nice, time to spend 50% of my game time doing this crap

For everyone asking why no shared currency, most currencies are stored with your character in that DB. They have different databases for different things. They could consolidate those for you, similar to what they plan on doing with rep, but like with rep that is a pita and they are likely going to screw something up. Giving you the option to transfer them is easier and will (likely again) keep them from jacking up your currency.

Give us MOUNT WHILE MOVING please!!!!!!
