Great video! Came by for ideas on an audio demo wall for my garage, stayed for the amazing choice in the Sara K music! It is refreshing to see someone specializing in high quality 12volt audio systems. Cheers from the US!
Thats where you've been, bud, big steps peter congrats 👏, nice shop ,you've earned it with all your hard work, and "second to none"" award winning installs!! Good for you Peter!!!
Yeah Pete looking good can’t wait to get the Kia back in the new and improved ps sound workshop.. me n Pete have plans for this one the Kia not over yet🤔😀
I've never been out of Canada, but definitely if i get the money to do traveling to Europe, your place is one of those places I would love to stop in and visit with you my friend!
simply outstanding! so happy for you :) that demo wall will actually be fantastic to help customers understand the value of tuning. good speakers and bad speakers, both with and without tuning. will show that tuned less expensive speakers will sound much much better than untuned expensive speakers. fantastic!!
So pleased things are coming together for you. Reminds me of a film. Field of dreams. If you build it they will come. Your demo wall sounds better then my car. I definitely need to come down for tuning Peter.
A suggestion, festool vacuumcleaner, bigger hosediameter on the first, short ,part and only use smal diameter hose for sander..and i love the cone-snakeskin hose, only 200$ in sweden....very nice shop!
Space is coming along nicely Peter. Congrats on the new HQ! Ps I’m glad you’re starting to see a little bit of value in demo walls lol. I use them every day, but more for education than “this is what they’ll sound like” type demos. Can’t wait to see the jobs that come from this space!
I was waiting on your opinion on the micro precision ...Thomas really does great speakers ...been running them in my cars for a few years now and they are always a joy to listen to .....
Well done Peter, nice big workshop to create & build some more stunning audio systems. No sugar in my tea, hope to see you soon. Need some bits, and could do with a drive.
Looks really good now. More like a workshop and should make bit more easier for you to work. I definitely need to come and see you in your new place to discuss and plan on my system makeover. It needs to be finished specially when the restrictions are over. Third time lucky 😄
So nice place peter!! When this corona shit is over i have to take my new build over to uk and try the luck at your Emma events and wisit your place👍🏻😃
I don’t know whose idea it is/was, but it makes absolute sense for hand sanding. For more serious dust making i have a 18” drum fan to blow the crap out to the outside! 🤣
It’s probably not even needed till November and the winter months there after. A blow heater will easily warm this place up after the ceiling was put in with insulation above it.
Peter, thank you for sharing with us all your knowledge and expertise. I recently purchased a 15inch acoustic elegance sbp that will be installed in my 2020 audi s3 trunk- infinite baffle of course. I have watched most of your videos as I don't know what the hell I'm doing with this style of install. Do you have any advice? Will be running on a sundown salt 1k amplifier
Hey Peter, quick check if running passive subs like JL Audio with Zapco mono amp helps bring out the deep bass? What will happen to speakers in the car … currently running active set ups with Zapco DSP 16v and Bewith speakers with Audison subactive. Im still learning all these…
If you have one of those Audsion Prima flat boxes with built in amp, then don’t expect too much from it. It’s for a given target market, who wants “a bit of bass”, but if you have HDSP-V and Bewith speakers, then you need a completely different approach for a great subwoofer performance. If you want to learn more about it, there’s a topic that covers “good subwoofer in a car” on www.patreon.com/pssound or we can also offer consultation over there. 👍🔊🔊
Hello, I am happy to see this kind of instalers and I learned a lot from U , I have 3 way active set up (tnx to you) .... could you suggest me something from monoblocks?! i do have Fi ib3 15 inch single 2ohm sub and i am looking for new amplifier cuz my dls a3 (two ch briged to 700w rms ab class) is not enough, I wish to instal helix c one but not shure if it will be enough-do you have some expirience with that helix amp?!
@@henkheuzen8094 it won’t sound anything, but the system will! That amp does everything you want, dynamic, detailed, transparent and has plenty of power. Speaker installation and tuning are way more important!
Hi, This question is not very relevant to this context. I have an old Octavia, front recently upgraded to Morel Virtus 2way. I am planning to go 3way, which midrange would you recommend using with the Morel. Running a Helix DSP3, drivers wold be run by 2 Sony GS4s.
What's a safe power supply that you use for your test bench and your Workshop I like to check some amplifiers that I had in storage I'd like to check them out in my house
We have the Zapco 100A power supply with a 90Ah AGM battery linked to it for more stabilised supply, but even a Ctek 25A charger would be sufficient for the job.
@@pssound9749 would it damage the amplifiers if I just put a put a few batteries there and then charge the batteries but when the batteries run out what it would have damaged the amplifier I've always been scared but I seem so many people have good results
Hi Peter, at what frequency do you personally set the gain for mid bass on a 3 way system with the mid bass cuts at 70-400. I know the mids and tweeters are pretty much always done at 1000hz.
I don’t do any of that, just use common sense. Look at DSP output voltage, amp input voltage sensitivity, dial it in and use an RTA, done. Never had anything failing.
AP has great midbass and widebands, but tweeters are not on the same level. Also, they don’t have continuous supply from most of their lines, whereas MP has been holding the same lines for 10-20 years and always improving the parts.
Peter you need to do my F-150 I know you told me over there you just believe in sports cars but I'm telling you America mosh it sound good right now but I know you can perfect it
