PSX-FPKG: Updated Emulator & Multi-Disc PS1 Support for Jailbroken PS4s!

PSX-FPKG is a tool which allows jailbroken PS4 users to easily build their own PS1 packed PKG files to install. All that's needed is a PS1 game in a single BIN format, a few photos of your choice, and a few minutes of your time to get the game packaged up into a PKG file. PSX-FPKG has recently been updated with many new features thanks to a new PS1 emulator being included within the software. This not only brings us many new tweaks to build games, as well as settings to access in-game, but a HUGE one here is the ability to use multiple discs!
Be warned: this does rely on emulation, and so far does not have anywhere near the compatibility we saw with the PS2 emulator on PS4! That means several games will work perfectly, several will have minor issues, and others will have major issues or might not work. There is an ever growing list of PS1 Classics being tested and documented on the PSDevWiki, a link to which can be found in the "Downloads & Links!" section of this description.

Still wont work on metal gear solid, no option to save at the insert disc 2 screen, you would have to import a save to disc 2 for it to work

The biggest effect I can see from the Modern preset is significantly reduced color dithering.

I have an isssue with MGS1 about disk change. Problem is, there is no special "diskchange save file creation", you talk about at Xenogears example. In MGS1 you just enter a new location and get an "Insert Disk 2" screen. And you guested it, changing disk in emulator simply directs you to the title screen, instead of continuing the game. So all my saves are for disk 1, I cant continue from disk 2 route, and I'm softlocked and depressed. Is there any solution?

Im getting error "Format of the project file is not valid. ()" with every rom i try. Edit: I fixed it by manually editing the gp4 file and change the . to : in date time.

How can you edit gp4 file if you only have ps1 games? I have the same error. Thanks. Edit. I got it. You need to check "Pause before creating pkg(debug)" and then edit the pshd.gp4 file 00.00.00 to 00:00:00 Other way is to change Windows Settings > Time & language > Language & region > Region - Regional format -> Select English (United Kingdom)

I’m totally befuddled at the 1:1 aspect ration option: afaik there are no psx games that ran at a 1:1 internal resolution, and no one played on 1:1 displays so… what’s the point?

Games that don’t work with the Sony emulator just follow marios video on installing retro arch it has extremely good compatibility
