when you extract yours comes out just as a file my comes out as a folder and thats why i cannot convert bin file into package file spent the whole day trying to do this. the tips for most part are spot on. just wish i could see your files a little better so i know exactly what format my files have to be in

If I have a retail 8.03 PS4 and my games have all updates and DLCs, is it possible to use this account on a jailbroken 7.55 PS4 and to download all my updates and DLCs to this jailbroken PS4? Will Sony ban my account or both PS4s or something like that? Because it's hard to find this DLCs for me. I can find most games and all updates but only very few DLC fpkgs. So I want to make my own DLC fpkgs. And what will happen if I go to the PSN network with my retail account, will it force me to update to 8.03?

+ModdedWarfare - It's been a long time since I played anything on my PS4. I'm sure that my PS4 is on a lower JB firmware than *7.55*. I've forgotten some things on what to do mainly about any of my External USB HDDs. Do I need to format my USB HDD to exfat if they're not already that and or if I have any USB HDDs already as exfat and they already have files such as (Music, Pictures) on them can I use that? I'm sorry if that doesn't make sense... I hope it does and any help would be thankfully appreciated.

Hey Modded, are we only able to install one PS1 game at a time? Running the 9.0.0 jailbreak, and when I tried to install two ps1 games, it overwrote the first game. The first game was Spyro the dragon, the second game was crash bandicoot (if it matters). Any ideas?

Thanks for the video. I have a problem with psx cover. I get an error with convert.exe when i try to use an icon image. If i use the default icon it works without issues.

Hi Modded_Warfare, i hope everything is okay with you, i have a question please: when we install a game (fpkg game) then we delete it, does this action delete all the files of the game from the hdd of the ps4 ? or there will be a remain files to delete manually by PS4-Xplorer for example ? ~Love&Respect~ Thank you.

Only the PKG gets removed as for trophy and save games stays on the PS4. I think you can delete saves manually from settings and to remove trophy it's a bit complicated as I never tried to.

@@5rv9KY so when we delete it nothing from the game remain on the hdd of the ps4, just the save game. That's it ? And does the installation copy one file which is the .pkg from the usb drive to the ps4 and it's done ? Which directory contain the installed pkg file ? Thank you.

I have downloaded the tools by Jabbo, but they do not unpack correctly for some reason, the type of fault you see unpacking if a password is required or its incomplete, the dark software worked fine though.

Hi, thanks for the video, this finally made me decide to jailbreak my previously unused PS4 and it was very much worth it. I have a question for the PS2 emulation: in the compatibility list, there are a couple games that is commented to be fixed/working properly with emulators that are not Jak v2 or Rogue v1 (which is the ones that came with PS2-FPKG), such as Bully v2 or Psychonauts v2. How can I get those emulators? I can't find much info/download links for them online.

for some reason i cant get this to work at all i try to load iso file in Ace Combat - The Belkan War eu region and its its just not listed when clicking search i drag it in and program just closed any ideas ? compatibility site says its working and i download from somwhere else that pgk converter, when i try it from your links its difrent on my end compare to yours its always like this then im stuck

Thanks for the tutorial and I have a question in my ps4's box it's written that only the ps4 is compatible with ps4 games not with any older playstation consoles does that mean there is no built in emulator in my ps4 and I can't use this method and will retroarch and linux emulation for older ps consoles will work on my ps4? and thanks

All PS4's have the PS2, PS1 and PSP emulation built in. They probably say that on the box because not all PS1, PS2 and PSP games will actually work due to the compatibility issues with the emulator. Also in the early days of the PS4 Sony wasn't indenting to utilize the feature.

2:14 There is another way to run PS2 games: PCSX2 on PS4 Linux. I haven't tried it on PS4 yet, but it runs fine on my dual-core laptop even with software rendering, so it should work fine on PS4 if configured properly.

Not really. I've used PCSX2 on PS4 Linux and all games run at unplayable frame rates. Unless it's a game with very simple graphics like a 2D side scroller.

@@MODDEDWARFARE I've seen videos in which it ran between 50% and 75% speed 2 years ago. I'm sure that it could reach 100% by building the latest commit with dynarec and -O3, and tweaking the EE+GS emulation settings and the graphics plugin settings, especially if the game is PAL. I know some recent distros like Fedora 32 Tron Edition include the emulator. I'll try it myself as soon as I can get Linux to boot on my PS4 (which I just got yesterday). I'll also try the Play! emulator. And yes, it depends on the game. For example, I could run Kingdom Hearts on a really old Athlon 64 (although it's not quite full speed with the graphics plugin enabled, and it also requires frame skipping), while games like Ratchet & Clank struggle even on modern hardware.

@@nastysdsi Yes you maybe right. The last time I attempted to run PS2 games on Linux was around 2 years ago and that was on a base PS4. Perhaps with the most current build of PCSX2, combined with tweaks to the settings and a PS4 Pro with it's slightly higher clock speed might allow for most PS2 games to be somewhat playable.

@@MODDEDWARFARE Yeah. It does run (some) PS3 games full speed (see SwigS-28's Project DIVA F 2nd and DT 2nd videos), as well as Zelda BOTW, so I'd be surprised if it couldn't run PCSX2 full speed. (Also, SwigS told me that there's no difference between base and Pro in Linux due to the graphics drivers, so maybe it will improve in the future, when the drivers are more optimized. The Pro still has faster CPU clocks, of course.)

Converting some of my disc ps2 games making backups etc using jabus fakepackage program. for the smaller cd based games they seem to rip to bin and cue like ps1. Jabu program doesnt seem to accept bin/cue files only isos. Using img burn is there a way around this for the smaller cd ps2 games? Turning them into isos?

enable FTP on your console, ho to system_data/prive/mms and download app.db, edit it with dbbrowser (it's free) changing the visible from 1 to 0. after, overwrite with the original app.db (MAKE BACKUP: insert a usb into console and launch backup payload) and logout from lateral menu and log into.
