Except that wasn't intended for illegal means. Just in case he was ever kidnapped and tortured by bad people. This was immoral, but at least it paid off in the end.
@@joydamaris7492start of season 6. I think S6E1, but I could be wrong. I'm going off the fact Shawn and Jules get together in S5, and the end of the finale is Lassie seeing them kiss in the interrogation room while one of them is struggling with their official statement.
My favorite part of this is when every single person in the room leans in to see if he was telling the truth when he said I love her. Even the chief lol
The best part is the tiny but crucial detail of Henry reminding Shawn to exhale before answering. He exhales before saying "You have to answer that one, Shawn" and then Shawn does it too.
I love this episode when Lassie finds out about Shawn and Jules. And I love he cares so much about Jules as a partner, he doesn't want anybody to hurt her. So cute. I love Lassie, he's such an attractive old man.
I've hated the character from the start. He occasionally gives me a laugh, but he never matures over Shawn actually being a good detective and I hate those kind of characters.
@@ahsokarules2369 Oh, he does have his good moments; like when Shawn clears him of being accused of murder. The best one, though; was in the wedding episode. However, that moment is overshadowed by what happens at the reception between Shawn and Jules.
@@cammy85 Those good moments make it worse. You have Shawn clear him of murder or helps him his wedding day, they have one nice moment afterwards in the episode, only for Lassie to go right back to how he originally treats him. Every time I think they get closer, the writers just have Lassie be mean to him again. It got old.
Seriously! I wrote an essay about their unreliability last year, and yet I always see media that seems to portray that they are "super hard to beat" when... It's easy for even someone who's done nothing more than a quick Google search to beat it (screw/tack in the shoe, etc.)
madtortuga --- Actually the lie detector machine is very accurate and that's it downfall . So long as you believe what your saying is True and you can control your calm demeanor then you will always score a True response . That's the problem of the Lie detector machine people actually know how to beat the thing .When you Lie and you know your Lying there's a corresponding physical response that can be measured by the machine but people have gotten sooooooo Good at lying they can now beat the machine .It just goes to show how BADLY everyone has gotten .
@@williamwaha3193 I think "very accurate" is a bit of a stretch. And like you said, it goes by what people THINK is the truth. So if someone goes off of what someone has said, backed only by a polygraph test, then they could end up seriously gettimg screwed over. Not to mention, during the Cold War, there was this one guy (can't remember his name) in the FBI who was a double agent and gave away secrets to the Russians, and he passed the polygraph test when someone finally started to suspect him. This caused suspicion to slightly subside, and he went on to sell out more American spies to the Russians during that time. Polygraphs go by things like heartbeat, sweat, etc. that people do when they're nervous, which means all you have to do is stay calm in order to tell lies with no suspicion, or step on like a tack in your shoe in order to make it seem like you lied. Or you could step on a tack on every question, and it'll get used to your sweat/heartbeat/etc. being like that for everything, so it'll gloss over your actual lies.
@@williamwaha3193 yeah but it also can't differentiate between emotions (correct me if I'm wrong) it could read bad blood pressure as a lie, or happiness it's just not as reliable as some people think
Man, what a cliff hanger. Lol, but I’ve already seen this show completely 4 times now (I have no life) but it’s a great combination of horror, drama, romance, humor and entertainment.
"I'm so psychic i can't even believe it. You wanna try it in Spanish? Si, mucho cleralerante. Estoy sin parinias." Fucking hilarious, even though the Spanish part makes no sense.
@@xPRODIGYxGAMER so u wonder how bad is my life but you are bitching about this? You must be suicidal then. Man good thing you arent religious :) thankfully people who bitch about atheists dont bother me at all, so makes no difference to me what you think :)
I like how when Lassie first asks it's in a small voice like he doesn't want to believe it but he can't help but maybe believe it and that he actually looks up to Shawns in certain ways and he secretly doesn't want the magic to die later proven by when he breaks the CD at last episode
That was hilarious but the end of the episode is so hilarious too ,that moment when Lassie is on the Lying Detector and says he will kill Shawn if he hurts Jules and Shawn just look an the detector and be like "Oh damn he woul really kill me" I laughed so hard 😂
Here's something I read once, and got me thinking. Juliet finds out through the lie detector test that Shawn loves her. The same lie detector test that Shawn beat to say he was psychic. So, when Juliet finds out he was lying about being a psychic, what do you think crossed her mind in that moment?
Her thought was "what else has he lied about." But we're also shown that shawn didn't do any breathing prep before blurting it out. So we know it, but she doesn't.
Setting aside for the moment that lie detectors don't detect lies, they detect stress, which is not the same thing; that is not how you read, or perform a lie-detector test.
@@blakeok952 im uhh, kinda late to the party but ima say it anyways. the way a lie detector works is through measuring things that happen to the human body when lying, this can have a lot of little details, hormones, body temperature, shaking, sweating, and tells (like poker) and even blood pressure. HOWEVER, lie detectors are viewed as a psuedo science, its based on actual science yes (as in a human body can/does those things when lying) but its in the definition of lying. for example, if the man is asked if he cheating on his wife and he says no. its totally possible that that man only exchanged some texts with another woman and he feels guilty about even just that, if hes convinced that he should feel guilty its gonna pop up on the test. which is bullshit since he didnt cheat on his wife... also simply having medical issues like a elevated blood pressure can fuck with the test, even having an injury anywhere can bodge it. plain and simple, it can point you into a direction but its under no circumstance real proof and its bullshit that the american justice system views it as such.
I just saw a episode premier of this show he said "I own joint custody of the fruit loops, can I live with you know." It cracked me up I laughed so hard ahhh Shawn Shawn Shawn.....love you Jules you look gorgeous!!!!!
