A look at the Puma White Hunter knife. A very interesting knife design. It is still in production since it was first made in the 1950's. I don't know what the number on the back of the sheath indicates.
Thanks for this video. I must've seen four or five White Hunter videos before this, and never realised how...um...petite the blade is. I had always assumed it was a huge great thing, like an MoD survival knife. It was very interesting to see how the design of the sheath has changed over the years, too, as well as to learn howtfully the packaging conceals the fact that modern Puma knives are sonetimes made in Spain, then shipoed to Germany for assembly.
The vintage White Hunter has stag handles and "Das Auto/car Messer" has always wooden handles. Puma offered a special plastic sheath for Das Auto Messer to be mounted in the car to give good acces to the knife in emergency situations. Both great knives 👍
