I don't feel like making a follow up video, so I'll just place the update here: There's one more multiplier that I didn't cover since it didn't exist at the time of this video, which is Base Scaling buff. This multiplier comes in a lot of future characters, starting from Vera - Garnet who has this on her signature memory Tifa's 4pc effect. You can distinguish this buff by whenever they explicitly use the term "Basic DMG" and are not referring to the character's basic attack (yeah dumb wording, so I prefer to use 'Base' instead). Just add one more multiplier to the formula in this video: (1 + Base Damage). Same rule as any other buff, additive from same source multiplicative to others. So the complete formula is Skill Scaling * (1 + Base Damage Increase) * (Character Base Attack * (1 + Attack Increase) + Final Attack) * (1 + Elemental Damage Increase) * (1 + Extra Damage Bonus) * (1 - Resistance) * (1 - Extra Damage Reduction) This is up to date as of current CN patch (Ayla - Kaleido release). There's also a typo at 10:00, -6% shouldn't be there. It's just 23.4% - 8% - 15%
there are 2 amplifier class weapon resonances that say "increases Full ATK" do you have any idea if this goes into the existing attack increase, the extra damage bonus or if it's a separate buff?
Hello. Seeing as you're quite experience with the game's damage formula, I want to seek clarification of the effect of SS Tenebrion, specifically the Dark Resistance part. For the longest time, I've always thought that SS Tenebrion would be able to shred for 25% Dark Resistance once he activated his ultimate. However, I've been receiving comments from several CN players saying that, based on their experience, that isn't how it actually works, it's a different debuff with the same name as Teneb's QTE, so the effects of his QTE and SS passive actually don't stack, and he only shreds for 15% Dark Resistance in total. Would you mind investigating this? I would love to hear back from you.
Lol I don't know where you've been hearing this from but it is definitely 25%. "Different debuff with same name" is completely contradictory. If it has the same name then it's the same debuff.
Hey doomy I have a question, why is Flare using Heisen and not Darwin? Darwin provides a total of 15% extra damage bonus, heisen 3% atk and 7% lignthing. According to the video then heisen is used because the elemental damage scales better than the extra bonus dmg?
Now seeing this I kinda wonder, are +15 ATK memory resonances really good at all? Its a flat attack added into your construct atk stat right? Am I missing something or is it really a
Hey quick question. So ik in ppc they add a resistance debuff or buff to mobs. But outside of that do we have to do the math ourselves in order to know how much resistance they have. Plus who has a 0 percent phys shred.
@@psych_shock4370 there's a chart of some of ppc boss base resistances media.discordapp.net/attachments/921027935379542016/980615025410601042/unknown.png
I just realized only atk characters have extra dmg bonus in the skill. Does edb affect tank and support at all? If not, a lot of the recommended chips are wrong putting edb and chip order.
of course it does. attackers just automatically get +20% extra dmg bonus innately. The formula applies to all classes, but physical damage is a different formula.
@@DoomyPGR Can I ask 2 more questions. 1. Lucia b has 70% phys 30% fire. If I blue orb for fire, am I doing less DMG than phys? Same question for other elementals like 20% phys and 80% dark? 2. If I use Shakespeare for 3% bonus atk and 7% fire, is fire actually 10%. What I'm asking is if 100% of atk is 30% ice and 70% phys, do I add them in an order and how do I know if the effect is correct? 3. I tested bianca a blue orb. I tried Darwin, Hanna and condelina. Does the orb get any buffs. I can't tell if it does.
@@furyberserk 1) 70% phys 30% fire is flavor text and means nothing. Go read what the actual scaling on the skills are. 2) There is no such thing as a 30% ice and 70% phys attack. One attack cannot be 2 elements. It's two attacks, one of them dealing ice damage and one of them dealing physical. Calculate them separately. 3) Blue orb will only be boosted by darwin *in this case*. Some aspects of orb effects are not considered pings, so Hanna will not boost them. Examples are ones that add additional effects to your basic attack like Bianca. Likewise, the additional effects aren't considered basic attacks, so Condelina won't boost them.
