I love the continuity that Luffy doesn’t just act like a crackhead, he is one, has readily available access to cocaine, and is willing to share his stash with whoever needs some.
@@ThotalinaA crackhead will do crack because it’s cheap but will JUMP on the chance to do the much more costly drug of cocaine if given a choice. It fits
I love the idea that everyone is batshit insane except Usopp. He just explains it like yeah these people are insane here is what's gonna happen if you meet them.
my genuine favourite part of this arc is literally Usopp telling Law Usopp: Yeah what you think an alliance is and what Luffy thinks it is, are two distinctly different things and our support group for people swept up by Luffy meets on Mondays. Law: but the plan? Usopp: shhhhh... the only plan Luffy will follow is a meal plan and even then not always
Watching Law's mental state gradually deteriorate has got to be one of the funniest parts of this arc. He knew Luffy and his friends were crack-addled lunatics, but even he didn't know just how many circus hoops they would force him to jump through the second he decided to work with them.
And somehow he starts to just start to fit in with them. They got him on the crack at some point and he genuinely starts to like this group of idiots to the point that the heart pirates and straw pirates are just forever allies or something it feels like
@@joshw.s8096I love his face when they tie Chopper to his head, it's the exact face of a man who would've thought this is rock bottom, but now knows it will probably get worse
So much so he basically gave up on teaming with luffy to work with Kidd against big mom. He knew he could manipulate Kidd enough to sit back for breathers during the fight
I love the idea of smoker being genuinely mentally broken by the idea of luffy doing more good for the world being a crackhead than he ever will do as a marine
I love the idea that the reason we haven’t seen Smoker in like 12 years is because he is just held up in some room with his “Charlie Day” conspiracy board frantically explaining to an exhausted Tashigi and Hina why the Strawhat is actually Joyboy.
I love the idea that since Smokers first meeting with Luffy he predicts every plot twist including Luffy Like if he ever sees gear five he would just scream called it
I love that Usopp’s disclaimer about forming an alliance with his Captain is basically verbatim as it was in the actual series. Like, there is no parody needed, Usopp just deadass lays it out for Law and makes very clear that he will regret every second of this decision from hereon out.
I imagine it will have to start with maybe Gan Fall or one of the white berets. But yeah, pattern seems to be to look at the antagonist as the final POV
Imagine you're worshipped as a god, everyone fears you, you have no problem destroying islands and there's a crazy crackhead who's immune to your powers and is beating you up without breaking a sweat
@@LiperioHK But you're like "Okay it's cool, I can still predict the crackhead's attacks, he aint too bright, I got this" so the next thing you know the crackhead turns off his brain completely and somehow he's still punching you
Luffy being like "if you didnt want to get your ass kicked, you should have been a different person" is such a hilarious way to put it. If youre a scummy leader, hes almost guaranteed to show up and rock your shit
Luffy: Don’t do drugs Zorro: Don’t be racist Robin: People with depression and a morbid sense of humor need help. Franky: The morals of this world have gone down hill. People act like being a pervert is a good thing with no consequences to themselves or society. Brook: I miss being alive Smoker: Yeah that last one makes sense.
“You aren’t gonna betray me right” “Nah” 😁 “You are an idiot!” 1) I’m glad you referenced this joke 2) I love that this joke is basically word for word from the series, because there’s no other way to do it justice 😂
As some say he was forcefully drafted into the crew for the whole cake island arc and that truly amuses me. Like man's forced to help the people he hates most
@@gramfero, if Luffy broke Doflamgino out of Impel Down like he did with Crocodile and Buggy then he’d be completely immune to all of Magellan’s Devil Fruit abilities including his Red Devil Venom abilities.
@@RoronoaZoro-ur6hrLuffy is resistant to poison but not immune, he still had to be saved by Reiju after eating a poisonous fish remember. Megellan would probably still fuck him up bad
This is one of the situations that I think Oda was hinting at the long term effects of Luffy's true devil fruit's abilities. He believes that he can suck in poison and blow it out his ears so he can. He also believes that after being poisoned he is basically immune to being poisoned so he kinda is. He believes that Nami can hurt him if she is mad so she can, and she can also hurt the other heavy hitters on the crew. He believes that milk will fix broken bones and teeth, so it does work when he and Brook are near each other. He also believes he is just a rubber man so that is what he presents as. I think he is a passive reality warper who only really gets active in gear 5th.
If you close your mouth and hold your nose closed then you try to breathe out air will actually come out of your ears and your tear ducts so it doesn't seem that crazy that Luffy could do it just by stretching the inside of his head.
@@randomuoutube2029 he has rubber properties, yes, but his true strength is his imagination, as that's the only limit he has. If imagined he's immune, he's immune. I wonder if he'd discover that, and in his fight against Blackbeard, the yami yami no mi becomes useless against him just because he imagines it to be, and Teach does the Enel face
@@Yaseen_ArafathOH, this would be so worth seeing. Blackbeard making that face because Luffy's got it stuck in his head that his Dark-Dark powers do nothing.
20:19 the concept of Luffy suddenly spilling out social commentary regarding the ethics of child exploitation and substance abuse is so surreal and hilarious 😂
@@calzonel8642 yeah but that scene was really out of character for Luffy. Meanwhile Zoro isn't actually racist, the fandom just calls him that as a joke
There is an off base level of respect with honest, open racists that you don't see with the secretive ones. Just look at the massively unexpected support David freaking Duke had for BLM and Ilhan Omar. That second year of BLM wacky racist grandpa was practically a staple of the Black National Talk Radio circuit! And part of his spiel *was condemning the Neoconservative response* so yes, this Zoro meme is actually the truth!!! 😮
I just find the whole interaction between akoji and doflamingo hilarious. Akoji: hey so I see your beating up my friend…stop that. Doflamingo: *thinks about it* fuck it, no, he dies. Akoji: *freezes doflamingo for a few seconds* Doflamingo: *walks away* you have a good day now Akoji: hey Smoker, how are things?
@@Lvl-7-Dratini Unless I'm mistaken, this is the last time we see Smoker doing stuff. I assume he's out on the water somewhere having a nice long think about how committed he REALLY is to this quest of chasing a crackhead and his band of lunatics.
Underrated funny moment in Punk Hazard: Franky fighting and driving off Baby 5 & Buffalo, whilst genuinely thinking they're just random strangers trying to steal his horde of cola.
I'm hoping this trend of the hypocritical straw hats continues. What's next? Nami being against stealing? Sanji or Brook being against sexual misconduct? Can't wait to find out lol
Sanji might be a hopeless simp, but he would never lay so much as a finger on a woman in any way without consent. When Sanji sees people like Absolom and Queen who hurt and violate women, he beats them within an inch of their life.
I honestly don't know what Law thought would happen when he got in an alliance with a guy who punched a Celestial Dragon in the face right in front of him.
My favorite part about luffy's character is his understanding of friendship goes both ways. Like he will unquestioningly go after whatever you need without a first thought.
Luffy: Addiction is a serious problem Smoker: Wait, but you- Luffy: I chose my crack, I didn't get tricked into it, I did the research, and chose this path. Ceasar is tricking those kids into this life, and that's not right Absolutely everyone in existence: YOU RESEARCHED SOMETHING!?!
And as of today that is actually a fact, Toon Force haxing crack head is real, step aside Ultra Instinct, Drums of Liberation will beat your ass black and blue.
I think this was one of my favorite New World arcs, because having Smoker, Law, and The Straw Hats together trying to stop a pirate together in a no where island that nobody knows exists is hilarious.
This is my favourite arc, everything is hilarious, marines pooping bricks about Tashigi and Zoro, and finding out that Zoro is just a soft-hearted idiot, Sanji taking a lead of marines, Law's first real encounter with Straw Hats, "there is a dragon!" - "no, we ate it", the Benny Hill vibe running 90% of time... Perfection
My most vivid memory of punk hazard is being incredibly confused when first reading it. In the german version they called the warlords the seven samurai long before Samurai were ever introduced as a thing in One Piece. So whenever someone talked about "that samurai" I was scratching my head trying to figure out if they meant Law or Kinemon. Still one of the weirdest translation desicions i've ever seen.
@@x2_zoa141 That's the nice answer. The mean answer is that they probably saw something that was hard to properly translate into german and went "Oh, this is from japan, japan has samurai, samurai are cool. Lets call them samurai, I'm sure this won't come back to bite us in the ass." 🤣
It always amused me that regardless of how much Doflamingo loves to point out how much he hates the Celestial Dragons for not letting him sit at their table and how he is superior and different and does his own thing, when it comes down to it, he still has that compulsion to park his ass on people when he gets really mad.
I love how every outsider's reaction to the Straw Hats is "there's no way they can possibly function." Especially with Law because that's basically his entire energy from Punk Hazard to Wano
When Chopper got tied to Law's head I burst out laughing. One of the best moments in OP, when Law who had been nothing but a complete badass until now, made the mistake of allying with Luffy and got drawn into his pace so quickly.
I love Punk Hazard because of how bad I feel for Smoker and especially Law. Smoker just wants to catch the Straw Hats after 2 years of nothing, and Law has a methodical plan that is being jeopardized by his pirate alliance with Luffy.
I'm so sad Law never used Shambles again in the way he used it here on PH, easily one of his funniest and most broken abilities. Imagine he swapped Doflamingo and Trebol's bodies on the rooftop in Dressrosa... GG WP no re, next stop: Zou. Also Smoker took so many L's this arc, it was so tragic. I always felt he was supposed to be the Garp to Luffy's Roger, I hope he comes back soon.
I love the idea of Smoker being revealed to be an Admiral and suddenly being able to beat the brakes off of Luffy just like your "rival" in pokemon games, you kick their ass the whole time, then suddenly they kick ya ass
The fact that Luffy can "Inhale all the gas and blow it out his ears like some kind of a cartoon character" is actually completely canonical power development. His rubberiness was always a side effect of something more.
Saying that Franky did nothing is crazy. Maybe during the arc he wasn’t really present but at the end he fought both Baby 5 and spin guy without taking any damage. Meaning he’s stronger than both of them combined
Unpopular opinion: I actually like Caesar. Not because he's underrated or more complex than people think, but because I unironically think he's one of the funniest antagonists in the series. I love his chemistry (or rather lack thereof) with Luffy and co. I also love his laugh. One of the best, in my opinion.
Man Law's reaction when he realized just how much of a crack head the whole mugiwara crew is and the look that says "wtf have I gotten myself into" while chopper was tied to his head that is GOLD
I actually thought Caesar was a pretty good character, he was a bad guy of course but his whole premise always being under Vegapunk was interesting to me. Also hes just goofy as hell and I love his laugh and his theme song
I assume Wano is going to be from Kaido’s point of view. And it’s all going to be everyone else telling him how insane everything will be if he does not do anything and Kaido is just ‘oh god, finally. FUN!’
Main point of views it should be of is, orochi, king, queen and kaido for their respective fights and other funny moments likes queens sing maybe and I feel like it’s need for king to bring up the fact zoros gets a power up after finding out he’s black
as much as i love ussops plant magic he does actually grow the plant seeds for the special attacks there was a time really early on the going merry where he set up his garden and really started his experimentation
@@Pangora2 FWIW, he came back from 2 years on HyperviolentVeggieTales island, if he didn’t compact as many as he felt he needed before leaving, he’d be a fool.
Smoker is without a doubt one of my favorite characters in one piece. He puts himself forward as a by the books buy but in reality he just wants to do good by people. Making him a top notch complicated character.
Many early villain is too goofy/hilarious. Buggy literally a clown, Kuro planned for long time to be ass whopped by rubber man, Don Krieg he just plain dumb, and a racist shark.
This is probably the closest we have to a decent one piece Abridged series that comes close to TFS in terms of humor If there are some good ones that already exist, I haven't encountered them so far but I might check them out
I think the whole point of Usopp’s plants is that it doesn’t really have a concrete named set of abilities. Like pre time skip Usopp, it’s just a grab bag of different hyper-specialized pop greens that can do any one of a number of things. It’s pretty much an enhanced version of his proclivity for improvised technology in pre-timeskip (which I do admit I liked more. I miss Usopp being so damn creative with Dials. He literally INVENTED RIFLING... ON A SLINGSHOT...IN A WORLD WITH NOTHING BUT SMOOTHBORE GUNS). Seriously, pop greens are more useful but it doesn’t feel like it’s taking advantage of Usopp’s wit and creativity
I love how luffys both a crackhead yet against drugs all while his crew is like "yea he's just like that all the time" and does more good to the world than the world government itself
"Biology and physics be damned, I guess, like, is your devil fruit power actually that you just can't take anything seriously?" Yes. Actually, literally, yes.
Bro these “___ is hilarious” videos are genuinely hilarious. These are incredibly funny and I’ve rewatched your other ones so many times now, I’m very excited to watch another half an hour of this. KEEP MAKING THESE! THEY’RE REALLY GOOD!
