Love it! The case has a retro vibe and I like the engineer style bracelet. Over the years I have unwittingly found myself getting rid of everything but my GS and this year I bought two more. I think I’m officially a Fan Boy. Lol!
What a beautiful watch. Love the elegant case profile and gorgeous crystal. Once you mentioned the bracelet, I couldn't unsee it...I assume that you're going to shift a link from the 6 side to the 12 side? Inadvertent face reveal in the mirror @1:45 LOL. Congratulations on another wonderful Grand Seiko, Uptick!
Killer watch (to me, nicer than the light blue). The SLGH 13 is also worth considering if want the 44gs case, hi beat, a bracelet, date and WR. Basically more sporty than dressy.
congratulations on probably the best looking watch out there. It has the magic ingredients of simplicity done excellently. Is also on my radar. Is the bracelet pin and colar? Can you get an a good fit as it probably doesn’t feature half links?
I have been drooling over the SBGY007 for a while now. That dial is stunning! Congratulations! By the way as a tourist in Japan, will you get any GST/VAT refund?
Congrats! Love the bracelet on this watch. Dresses it down quite a bit but I find it leaves it still classy/dressy. Do you expect to put it on a leather strap?
Gorgeous example. Congratulations - yes, sometimes you have to just do it. Can you remind me of your wrist size? My local AD doesn’t have this just now and I’m imagining how that lovely low case might fit me.
Very clean watch indeed. The Bracelet pairs wonderful with the Timepiece. Not Quite as sterile as this one, the Evolution 9 GMT SBGE285 “Mist Flake” is also a banger. Cheers
Absolutely beautiful watch. Less sporty than Snowflake - a practical stunner, thinner and pared back. Great size too. Time to invest in some blue linen shirts! Or perhaps a navy croc strap option? GS are on a roll with their dressier offerings - the upcoming SBGY027 is a beauty too. But I'm still a massive fan of SBGK007 and SBGK009. GS's most avant-garde dress designs, with a modern Breguet vibe. The SBGY013 will pair well with the green SMP. And the Lemon, obv!
I think it looks fantastic. Finally a thin(ish) GS with this series. One minor complaint, I'd like to see a tapered bracelet. Then it would be nearly perfect in my opinion.
UPDATE: I love it, buy one! You're right, I'm overdue doing some ownership updates on a few watches. Really to me this one is the culmination of everything Seiko has been striving for. Also as I get to see lots of high-end watches and independents, I find this model unique and absolutely in a class of it own.
@@UptickWatchReviews thank you very much. I think I’m going to part with my CK 859 to make space in the collection. Such a beautiful watch but not getting the wrist time. This one seems to be a perfect blend of sporty and dressy and the bracelet is killer. Thx again.
@@UptickWatchReviews I finally picked up the SBGY013 and traded in my Omega CK 859 as planned. GS owes you a commission on this purchase. Huge thanks 🙏
Congratulations Uptick, it really is stunning. I still don’t have a GS in the collection but keep going back to the SBGM221, maybe one day or something similar to this (love the dial) 🤔😁
I bought a GS and looked up "GS servicing" and saw your video. What a complete change in opinion 3 years takes lol! You were saying GS is nothing more than a normal Seiko with some nice polishing, and here you sound smitten with your new watch. 😆😆😂😂
It will likely remain forever in my collection. I adore everything about it and so does my son. As long as GS can handle service it's a definite keeper.
@@UptickWatchReviews I am so close to buying it and your video helped a lot convincing myself. Did you see SBGY007 (blue omiwatari) up close, and can you compare dials? Puting this bracelet on SBGY007 is another option for me and honestly I cannot decide which one to go.
Probably the best-wearing watch even if you will have the same sizing issue as with a Snowflake as there are no half-links. I've opted for the looser option which anyway gets tight once outside in the summer heat of HK. Overall, I think it looks unreal
