Bianca never looked more fish and glamorous and edgy.. she really was a winner all the way, it’s almost like they knew it. The gay gods were on that set that day. She was alone in that room, sitting and ripping pages like a queen. Bob picked the best promo ever. Season 6 really was a blessed season even the promo is iconic.

one of my fav things abt the s6 promo is all the hints at what we're to expect in the season. with darienne, courtney, and adore "tearing up the runway," gia and joslyn being the "fishy" girls, the original definition of "drag" being listed in the book bianca is highlighting as like a reference to the whole thing with gia.... its all so good, i get choked up every time the attention to detail is fucking incredible

At this point I can't even remember who or what Kornbread is, and it's wild to think June Jumbalaya was on this season. Even just saying those names feels like 2 seasons ago.
Season 10 was the first season I got to watch live as it aired, and that video was just *so* good at hyping up the queens. The only queens who really got done dirty imo were Asia and Mayhem, but everyone else just looked so stunning and I loved it. Also honestly the biggest difference between the current season and season 5 isn’t even the green screen so much as the lighting. No promo has lit the queens as well as season 14’s promo video.

Apparently the producers made Jinkx wear that dress and wig...which is unfortunate. But this promo is why Jinkx became a redhead, because she liked the color of the wig they gave her. If you notice throughout season 5, she wasn't her signature ginger self yet.

I really enjoyed this video and the few insights you threw in regarding the production of the promos. Now, my only disagreement is that i feel that Season 11's promo deserves to be much MUCH higher, like #2 after 6. To me is one of the most well-rounded in terms of aesthetics - the color palette, the outrageousness of the outfits, the flow of the script showcasing each queen's personality. It's a marketer's dream.
season 9 was my first season bc that was peak drag race culture on tumblr where the show REALLY exploded and also Alyssa's Secret and Brolaska and all that stuff

I knew Season 6 would be the #1 spot because I when I saw that, my mind was blown. It was so good. Bianca's part was so good. I love how Darienne, Courtney and Adore were in a shot together but then Bianca is alone throwing book pages lol and I love the story behind her outfit, it's hilarious lol
