I love Tamisha Iman’s drag for what it was. You guys already gave her props for this, but for her doing EVERYTHING herself, most queens today could never! In my opinion, this whole beef she has with Monet is because Tamisha is very old school. It’s the whole reason she stirred up beef with Kandy also. Tamisha is like one of my aunties who have this old school idea of RESPECT. I can’t have a differing opinion or be critical of something my tia does or says because she’s my elder and I have to respect her. Lady, I’m 38 years old, you’re 48, we’re peers and contemporaries, first of all. Secondly a person is not owed respect just due to age. Third, disagreeing with someone or being critical of them is not lack of respect. Monet said nothing wrong. Maybe in Tamisha’s drag house all the younger queens bow to her but she can’t expect everyone to do the same.

I can still remember the first time I saw Tamisha, back at Miss Gay USofA in 1997. She was top 12, and her production number was to the Aretha Franklin version of "Pride (A Deeper Love) with every Atlanta dnacer she could get her hands on filling up the stage. That was the first time I heard the "I know you know me" line, and it's something that's been included in her talent mixes for over 20 years. I believe Javqueline Devareaux won the title that year, ahead of Kourtney Van Wales and Erica Andrews. I can't remember if Tamisha had a money finish that year, but it did take a couple of tries before she got the title herself. Her productions were always huge, and I wondered how well she'd do on RPDR where she can't perform with fifteen backing dancers. She is old school pageant DRAG excellence writ large.
