Thank you for the information. Very insightful. I drink hibiscus tea at night. Studies have shown it lowers blood pressure and I’ve had high blood pressure since starting to work nights. It works great. Also tart cherry juice before I go to sleep after a night shift is a game changer for me.

i'm not sure. I believe if someone isnt very active outside of work, ok this could work but for me? I need caffeine. I workout 2 hours a day and i'm on feet 8 hours a day. Its impossible to go without caffeine. Before bed? Now thats a different story

caffeine is killing me, i used it as a crotch to survive first 2 weeks but as the good little vicious circle it is it keeps me from sleeping much in the days, im a bit more than 2 month in my night job now, trucker, sometime from 4 pm to 6 am, sometime 8 pm to 8 am, was getting good at it and started cutting down coffee and sleeping better after the first 3 weeks but then my boss absolutely wanted me to get a formation ... for a week ... in the day ... broke all my progress and now im at week 2 again ... hoping week 3 is better...

The vicious cycle is very real - I couldn't agree more. If we don't sleep enough, we are useless both at home and work. You'll find your triggers/weaknesses and importantly the foods and drinks which keep you stimulated and awake without the high. The unfortunate part is it takes time to learn. Stick at it.
