Putting a used front end on a 2019 Yukon Denali rebuild

I lucked out and found a complete used front end for the Yukon. It was much cheaper than piecing it together with used or new parts. It was a short drive to Michigan to pick it up at a yard I have used for over 20 years. Now that the parts are here we can get them edged in and back on the truck. Once the front end is lined up we can get the doors apart for the painting gnomes to do their part. I found some cheap mechanical parts that we needed and believe it or not, they were from the dealer. Who knew?

My favorite part of your videos is the calmness, quiet and relaxing, you're so methodical and detailed. You could almost give any typical person the impression their crashed vehicle could be towed home and fixed right in the garage all by themselves. LOVE IT!

When we had the oil cooler lines replaced on our Suburban, they didn't clip it in property. It popped and pumped the crank case dry on the way home. The shop replaced the seized engine. We found a different shop after that.

I know so many people that balk at the carpeted wheel liners in newer vehicles, but they simply would not be such quiet rides without them. They do an amazing job at absorbing road/tire noise. Unfortunately they do an amazing job of absorbing water/dirt/mud/salt/animal guts too! Looking like another great build Scott. I have had some bad engines in my day. Some I expected, some I didn’t. Of course I guess that makes up for the one that came separate from the car (thrown out in the end over end rollover) and still ran fine when I installed it in another car. I expected that one to be bad! 😂

GM discovered that the windshield washer fill bottle needed to be removed to get to the battery long ago. My 1997 Lumina had that feature, it was a thoughtful design feature I discovered the first time I needed to replace the battery which for some reason failed before the windshield washer bottle ever started leaking. I am sure mine was the first to ever have that happen and they thoughtfully kept that feature 22 years later. It is nice to see that engineering continues to understand things like that.
