I am going to start cueing patients with "explode-push" instead of just "push." As in pushing themselves up from supine to sit, pushing up from the chair arms to perform sit to stand. It really conveys the action that I want them to try to attempt. Great video.
it really is impossible to convey how wonderful these movements feel, how much they produce every waking hour an ease of physicality, a natural healthy bodily flow to your life... thank you dude...
This video felt more like 2-3 minutes- went by quickly. I love your work, Tim! I was talking about health & fitness with a friend a few weeks ago and recommended your advice and videos. Then, whilst on the phone with him, I bought him a copy of Pressing Reset (I have a copy already (of course)), which he received a few days later. I hope to train with you in a seminar, one day; it'd be great if you gave one in London, UK.
This is so wonderful to see! Thank you so much for sharing Pressing Reset with your friend. That’s awesome! I would love to see you at a seminar sometime. I was just in France for a workshop - it would be great to be able to come to the UK for one as well. Maybe we can make it happen!
@@OriginalStrengthSystem It's my pleasure to share with people. And thank you for the wealth of information you share with us. UK seminar: hopefully you do hold one here! It'd be great to meet you!
This is great Tim....Boy do you really feel these! Never would have imagined hinging with the heels elevated..I'm used to having people who struggle to find the hinge elevate their toes in order to keep the weight in the heels. It turns it all upside down , but it works! Thanks Tim👊
Awesome. Because the feet are pretty much stationary this develops a smoothness throughout the movement which helps in sports. If I was still a football coach I would have my guys do 3 sets of 10 before their squat workout and their sprint workout during the off season. I would also include these in the pre-practice/pre-game warm up. Try this split legged too !!!
thanks so much for sharing! I do think this is a very athletic movement and skill to train and learn from. And yes, the split leg version and single leg version of this is where more gold is found!
@@OriginalStrengthSystem I had hip replacement surgery a while back. Hip joints usually don't go bad on their own. They go bad because of a muscle imbalance near the joint, usually resulting in atrophy of some muscle fibers. If I had done the hip exercises you have taught I'm sure I wouldn't have needed hip surgery. Now I do them as part of my recovery and they really help. Thank buddy.
Do you have an original strength training regime, for example for a 3 day per week work-out? Including strength, mobility and vestibular health drills Think this would be a killer video
Tim, do you play with different foot positions here (width, or slightly staggered stances)? This feels amazing when I intentionally shift weight to one side at a time. Thanks for this! ☮
I think they come from the Divine Source - I usually just find them or they appear to me when I’m being curious and moving around for not other purpose than to explore movement.
@@OriginalStrengthSystem amazing. I probably accumulate 20min a day of rocking, rolling and head nodding everyday in between sets. You are simply awesome Tim!
Yes. The eyes lead the head. The head leads the body. Depending on what we are doing and why, we try to keep the eyes and head on the horizon, or return it there, in most body positions. We do not aim for the idea of neutral neck. We are very much in favor of neck extension in many positions. But again, it all depends on what is being done and why its being done.
If you are very flexible, you may not feel a stretch in your hamstrings. However, you should still be able to feel your glutes spread (and hams) to drive you upwards. Just play with shifting your weight and try to “find” your glutes at the bottom of your hinge. Don’t worry about doing them explosively, find it slow first. I hope this helps.
Did you see Tim, all the kettlebells near you started to cry at the end of the video; after they hoped very much to attend the exercise at the beginning, they were very disappointed at the end😭....
