I used to do the exact same thing years ago. Used to either open packs or sort cards while watching others open boxes/packs of baseball cards on RU-vid. I haven't had any friends that collect in many years, so is kind of like spending time with a friend doing that by watching YT.

Yes. Still pretty cheap for everything you get x6 (or $5 each). $6 each if you get less than a case though, which is still pretty good.

I don't have very many cards from 1981, so I doubt that.

No, I toploader them and store them somewhere else.

After I've opened all Series 1 I have, will put all the inserts in the same binder, after the regular set (except for actual hits...autos, relic cards, etc, of course). Plenty of room left in the binder for inserts, but Series 2 will definitely warrant a second binder, as these aren't very large binders. Still unsure as to what I will do with numbered cards and variants (SP/SSP's), as there are very few. I may end up putting them at the end, after the inserts as well. Unless, of course, one is found to be worth $$, then it will get a top loader.

:::A year later::: Regular Topps Series 1, 2, and Update are pretty easy to get a whole set, all you have to do is buy a Jumbo Hobby box. Each jumbo hobby box contains a whole set with some doubles. well, a couple years ago it was feasible, as they were the price regular hobby boxes are today. 🤣

Some people do, but I don't. Would take too much time, and, the way your card is in the binder like that, it will press against the penny sleeve anyways, and age the same way, so IDK why people do that. 🤷‍♂

I might have to now with all of those hits, even though the Astros aren't my team at all. Kind of like Jake Thompson last year...pulled all kinds of numbered cards and hits of his, so started a little PC. Of course he was sent down to the minors early on in the season, and then Brewers purchased his contract, now he's been granted free agency. Oh well, you win some, you lose some, but I have a lot of nice cards of someone who had a "cup of coffee" with the Phils lol. 🤣

That stinks. If anything the Phillies need more pitching, now that they bolstered their line-up. Yes, Vlad JR seems to be the player to watch this year. Since his dad is in the HoF now, all eyes are on him to carry on the Guerrero baseball greatness. 👍

:::a year later::: these were purchased at blowoutcards dot com. Not sure if they even carry them anymore, as I purchased this case of them a couple years ago.

I saw that, guess not, darnit. His wear and tear has to be great though. His playoff teams worked the heck out of him in the regular season and especially playoffs. Maybe that's why? 🤷‍♂️
