Playing this game for the first time was wild. How do you go from a happy-go-lucky song like Theme to being intense and metal out of nowhere with Final!? This OST is kind of underrated.
@@D.B.Z.Cooperit's fm synthesis. You are building harmonics with Frequency from pure sine waves. it's normal since fm synthesis is powerful can make a bunch of sounds.
This is better than the western of Puyo Puyo known as Dr Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine which uses the Cube driver instead of Compile’s own custom driver.
They probably used the cube driver for PCM samples in the music and not interrupt the music, I guess Compile didn't have time to improve their driver in the Z80 and DAC enough to hire CUBE, in MD's Puyo Puyo 2 in later compilations is It is possible to listen to the PCM voices without the music interrupting, they are still of poor quality of course but it is less annoying than having them interrupt your music, if they were going to consume all the bandwidth of the Z80 at least it was of good quality ...but it seems that there was no more space in the cartridge. The same goes for you Tecnhosoft
Hi, I don't know if you have the means but would you be able to check some songs for Mean Bean Machine when played back on a Genesis model 2? Some of the ending tracks for that version sound slightly busted and makes me wonder if they would sound better if played on a model 2. Thank you.
If you want the best sound you'll have to get a Model 1. Some model 2's uses integrated sound chip which breaks some tracks like you described, that must be what you have.
