I fucking love the Dr Robotniks Mean Bean Machine Versions of the puyo puyo music. All of them are better than the original. The drums and Bass kick ass.
weird how a game over screen that for some reason scared me when i was a tiny child turned out to be one of the best video game songs that makes me feel a sort of soft but bittersweet nostalgia, and has nothing to do with goofy dr robotnik wagging his finger at me anymore (grew up with the game gear version, not genesis)
There was a version of this song in Puyo Puyo Tetris, wasn’t there? I don’t know if it’s a direct rip from another game, thus why it didn’t make the cut, but if it isn’t, I distinctly remember going into practice mode in that game with this music all the time.
Imagine thinking that the Mean Bean Machine was the ONLY version and the Puyo Puyo ones didn't even have the Exercise Mode theme included so you never tried them... That wouldn't happen to be you would it..? Right..?
@@UMOGruntThe song is used twice in MBM. Once as the exercise mode theme and once for the continue screen, so they very well could’ve shown gameplay for the first iteration and shown the continue screen for the second.
