A technical short video to show how the collar installed on my 2019 FishPro interacts with the water at plane and speed.. These are the medium collars. BTW- On my ski, these things really increase the performance when cutting turns. Careful at speed because it will rip you from the ski. Not because of any nose digging in, but something with the interaction with the sponsons, I think.

You said these will rip you from your ski at speed. Can you elaborate on that? Did these cause you to fall off or lose control?

No loss of control or falling off. I was just amazed at how they did not degrade tge ability to cut and turn at all. I wad a anticipating that it would make the ski handle somewhat sloppy but that was not the case at all

If you are going 45 mph and you turn hard be prepared to hold on just like you would have to hold on without them

Hey Bill, I couldn't find out how to direct message you, but I'm curious if you have a maintenance tip. Some areas of the engine on my Fish Pro have the paint flaking off in small 1 inch size patches. Any recommended maintenance tip on how to stop the spread of these and protect the raw metal?

Like you ride salt water. Salt is very hard on everything and if it gets under the paint it will dry and the crystals will flake paint. In addition, salt water corrodes most metals - aluminum and stainless included, so corrosion will happen and flake paint. Most folks use SaltAway or something like that to flush the engine AND to wash it down with after every ride. Then after the dry, they will spray a silicone over everything. Some folks us a product from CRC that comes in a 1 gall on jug and has a hand spray pump to mist everything. As of me - I don't go to the extreme of misting everything as everything is so hidden, There will be photos on the groups that show their engines looking new at 500 hours but if you get saltwater into your hull on extended and rough rides, then that kind of pristine condition is suspicious to me. My take on it ,is that OK if some of the paint flakes off, to me that is not a worry. Yes, mine has it too. Now that said, be careful that you don't start seeing a calcium like white graoiny looking deposit on things - that means you need to freshwater wash down and silicone more.

@@billjenkins1535 Thanks boss! I'm sitting at 250 hours and one of the spots that developed is on the forward-side of the engine where one of the wiring harnesses jostles and rubs against the paint, but I didn't notice it until it was too late. I do a salt away wash down on my engine bay and dry everything off with a blower after every ride, but I guess it's inevitable! Thanks for your tips!
