Omg I first got introduced to Naruto and that's how I got into the whole Japanese culture and manga. One time I looked for ramen recipe and found Eat Your Kimchi, they introduced me to kpop, they rock!

Im korean and im soo impressed to hear that youare also into korean indie bands!!!you should try listening to Urban zakapa songs in case you dont know "my love" AND standing egg songs especially "farewell for you, not for me(넌이별 난 아직)" those songs were quite popular in Korea :) and we have some similarities cuz like my all time boyband bias is bigbang since 2007..so i also have this special feeling towards them plus i also "listen" to exo but cannot match their names with their faces and im also twenty of course ib korean age !!you should visit Korea sometime in the future maybe we can meet in person..?haha
My first kpop song ever was Hyuna-Bubble Pop. It was just our song for me and my two best friends. We were singing it everywhere. Than I went to another school without them and there was Sasha(in slovak Saša :D). We become a best friends and she find out Beast's Beautifull Night
Woah, that's so amazing we have so much in common :) I also get into Korean music and culture by Japan (M&A) actually :P But I just found K-pop when I was listening to anime openings :D And my first Korean band was DBSK :3 Ah... memories :') Btw. I love also less famous artists and other genres of Korean music. Nell and eAeon rulez! :D If you don't know them, I can also recommend 10cm, Bohemian (their ballads are wonderful!), Clover, DickPunks, Fanny Fink (!), Dalmoon, Colla Voice (especially their song "그 노래") or Guckkasten (but that's more K-rock). It's an awesome Korean romance drama about this writer and this girl, who after found her mom in the middle of an affair when she was younger, isn't into sexual relationships and has anxiety over romantic relationships. It's super good and I need someone else to fangirl it with me over this show! :D
I love the Soul R&B/Hip-hop/rap genre, and its the main reason why I’m a fan of Korean music. The Hip hop genre pretty much flat lined here in the U.S. since the beginning of 2000, but its spreading throughout Asia thanks to the Korean music. Hip hop Vietnam, there’s Suboi. The Korean artist that I like have the Bad Ass style & Attitude Men’s: Masta Wu (My personal favorite) - Gangster rap Zion T - Soul R&B Infinite H - Hip-Hop BTS - Rock, Hip-hop Women’s: 2NE1 4minute Amber Park Ji yoon
You have to listen to Thronapple they are amazing. They have this enchanting physchedelic ( dunno if I spelt that right) indie rock vibe. Also a song I recommend is Fanny Fink '권태 그 앞에선 우리' it's such a relaxing song Another song I recommend is Vodka Rain '그 어떤 말로도' Those are all my korean indie jamssss
Know I've ran across one or more of M's covers before and wish I'd checked out the channel sooner. Some more I'd like to listen to in her q&a vids or other misc Korean topics. I really just like the covers and the music and of course think Korea is alright and my brother spent years there in the military and he said it was a mostly poor people which is sad and you hope that can change in countries like the Philippines. Those people do have a way of dealing with their situation well and making the best of it. Sad to see how air quality is bad in the cities due to pollution. Don't care to delve into more of the culture than music because I'm sure it is fascinating and addicting. I've known mostly affluent Koreans here in the US and never can grasp that side of their mentality but it is interesting and different. They have a inner quality and strength full of vigor and wisdom that I don't think we (Americans, English) notice or realize. Nice videos and though I'm not as fixated as you are on all their culture and music I do think it deserves more appreciation worldwide and hopefully a group one day from K-pop will cross all those barriers. I got started in the weird way of seeing the tragedy of Ladies' Code and their fandom broke through to get noticed in expressions of grief while I was reading grief messages from a famous star Joan Rivers that passed in the US about the same time. Their story was truly sad since they were so gifted and young and I HATE waste, especially lives. Been keeping up with the entire scene ever since. Great vids, very exceptional talent you have, keep it up. As far as youtube videos that showcase music and an entire culture not to mention just your presentation you are exemplary on youtube or any video hosting website. Sure your blogs are nice too and will check them out. Thanks

OMGGGG i got introduced to Korean entertainment though boys over flowers as well XD XD XD however SS501 were the ones that got me into kpop with Ji Hoo- Kim Hyung Joung ( the character) after i found out he was in that band.
first i watched the korean drama (Boys Over Flowers) in which i was totally obsessed with kim hyun joong's voice when he sang (because i'm stupid) and from this song i knew the first best korean band (ss501) and i listened to their songs and it was wooow amazing!!! then i started to search on the internet about another bands and watch music videos randomly on youtube and so... then i became a big k-pop and k-drama fan....(sorry for my poor english language)~-~
as a korean we don't see CLAZZIQUAI PROJECT, nell as indie. they are just not known as much as idols do in other country, but in korea, they are very popular.

i know kpop since 2009 nd i was watching a channel korea tv transulated in arabic wich is gone now nd i dunno what is my first song or drama or anything cuz i just get in kpop ^^
I think the first Korean thing I ever watched was a kdrama with my mum in 2006 XD I used to watch kdrama and other dramas with her all the time but they were Viet dubbed 😄 I still remember watching playful kiss with her too XD in 2008 I discovered kpop from my cousins cousin lol.... the first kpop video was wondergirls nobody 😀 then it was snsd, superjunior, shinee etc. 😃 I live in Europe and these Korean things were hard to come by u know 😃 but I was like 8 at the time....so I was a kid running around outside and wasn't interested in kpop but I still remember the video XD OK I have watched Pokemon, digimon, card captor, mulan, lion king etc. They were basically my whole childhood. I had like 7 big brother and 1 big sis so they were into them first. We had loads...I MEAN LOADS of Pokemon teddies and small figure toys. Still have em in a big bag in back yard cuz we moved houses. Thousands of them lol XD they collected yugiyo cards so I started to lol thousands of them too hahahahh and like around only a few hundred Pokemon cards. Have all the Pokemon series rewatched 1000 times. Anyways they watched anime and I started too! But different genre lolllll! They were action and fantasy and I was comedy and romance hahahahahh! I watched anime when I was 10. Boom! Kdrama came into my life at 2011 and I rewatched playful kiss 15 times (with subs because I was a fast reader all thanks to anime hahahah ). Other dramas came in like dream high, boys over flowers, u name it. I watched all the romance kdrama genre there is. 2012 I become more interested in kpop again. Snsd first this time! I was a fan 😄 still am! Discovered apink, exo, whatever else and boom 💥 here I am today. My childhood was amazing to me. Forts everysingle day hide n seek. Play pretend.my brother was the 'commander'. Bribed us with sweets. Lego walls. Played Pokemon with the Pokemon toys and we picked a figure toy as a trainer XD my brother was the controller. E.g. "go pikachu use thunderbolt " I said. And my brother thunderbolts a squirtel . Critical attack. I lvl up XD. The last air Bender in real life!!!! My brother is the controller again. I pick katara and use water move and it hits the opponent. Yup it was painful but fun XD. I kinda got off topic but if u read all this.. wow... thx haahahah! That's the short version of my whole childhood. I'm 14 now lol...
