Thank you for sharing this video. I'm moving from my HR program to Accounting by Fall 2023. I will only get 5 courses credited, though. But I think this trade off will not really make me regret it. One of my professors at Seneca told me that there is a demand for Accounting graduates. Quoting her, "PS - I just read that accountants are needed right now in the work force, so transferring to ACC or ACF may be a good move at this time 🙂"
i'm starting to watch each of your videos to give me an idea on the "how tos" in canada. thanks! manifesting to work there as cloud or infratructure engineer. canada cutie!
Hi Glaire.. I’m already here in Canada as Management related position but I graduated as Accounting tech in the Philippines and no experience at all at that field. Hope someday I would .
Completed post graduation in Finance ( M com). 3 years experience in my Native country. Which course I studied for becoming an Accountant professional. I think is it better to do CIA than CPA
Please advise which noc i need to choose after doing POst baccalaureate diploma in accounting from KPU so that i can get PR easily in BC there is 0, A and B but confuse in which profile please help
Hi Glaire! How do you get the "job offer" required for BC PNP? Is it the offer/contract itself that they give you upon hiring? Can you mention in the interview that you have plans on applying for PR or PNP? Thanks!
From what I understand on their website, you should have already secured a full-time job under NOC 0, A, B. And that offer/contract is what you will be using to apply for BC PNP.
@@glaire wow thanks for the reply! Ask ko na din about coop, did you have coop with your program in Langara? Do you think it's okay to choose not to have coop or would you recommend to have it especially for getting jobs after graduating? Would it be harder if wala coop?
Just discovered your channel today. Just want to ask. Is there a way that you can land an accounting job in Canada without going through being an international student? Thank you!
Hello, Ate Glaire. I'm curious, if are you eligible taking a Certified Management Accountant board exam? 😅 I've been watching your videos and you mentioned you're a graduate of accounting-related course in PH. So, as what I've understand, I think Accounting Technology graduates are eligible too to get CMA Certification? 😅😊
Hello! CMA certs are no longer available. Correct me if Im wrong tho. They combined it with CPA na here in Canada. Before they have all kinds like CMA, CA, CGA…now it’s all under a CPA accounting designation.
Hi again miss Glaire! Just a random question, is it advisable to apply and study for May 2022 intake? (I feel that I cannot get into the winter 2022 classes due to lack of time, I haven't taken my IELTS yet)
hi ms claire, im interested also in langara, though i already have loa at UVIC as Diploma in Bus. Adm.. My first love is accounting, i am thinking to change school. Can you please tell me how much is the full 2 yrs fees for advanced acctg program in langara under continuing studies? thank you
Total tuition for the program is currently $21,375 CAD. Tuition for each semester will be approximately $3,375-$4,500 depending on course registration. That’s from Langara’s website. Plus misc fees.
@@glaire is the cost of living there high? I am supposed to study at NAIT in Edmonton and the tuition fee is 38k for 2 years. I am now considering langara college because of the lesser tuition fee.
@@glaire I have gone through that course, from langara college site, but kind of confusing. do we have to choose various subjects to study, or they are already fixed.
