Remember Mayhem fest 2015 at Tinley park when during "This is Exile" where you said "pick him up, pick him up. Help your fellow man!" I was the asshole trapped under all those guys. Thanks for looking out man, it felt like my ankle was going to snap.
A lot of people in the music or even entertainment business should watch and learn from Phil because he is so humble and down to Earth. I respect that and makes me love Whitechapel even more than I already do!
Yo Phil, I remember seeing Whitechapel in Sheffield Corporation (UK) with Job for a cowboy, Annotations of an autopsy and Trigger the bloodshed... The best and first show i ever went to. You guys got me into the heavy side of metal and YOU inspired me to take up vocals... i have progressed so much and feel i could take the world on with it! Thank you for making Whitechapel happen with the boys of the band.
I love your Q and As I'm a huge fan and can relate to your musical interests BIGTIME, keep up the great tunes, your bands music is extremely therapeutic for me, and the soundtrack of my life for many years in the past and I'm sure many years to come!!
HI PHIL!!! You're one of the best vocalists in deathcore. I think you're funny and overall awesome. I also love your band you guys are heavy and I love that. I'm only 15 and I already listen to brutal stuff and your band was one of the first heavy bands I ever listened to and your band really paved the way for me to get into deathcore and grindcore and even death metal so thank you for that.
I respect you even more. You proudly being a Slipknot/Corey Taylor fan, makes me a bigger fan. Been a Whitechapel fan for quite a while, and this is icing on the cake. Thank you for that.
Holy shit Phil, I just watched your cover for Suicide Silence's - Unanswered. I thought you were good before, but after your straight up gutturals from the depths of Hell, I began to figure out that you're so much better than I ever thought. Keep it up Phil, you're an idol to me.
I love your vocals Phil, and I know people tend to pigeonhole styles but I like that you sound very diverse, and yes I totally agree with you - at the end of the day, it's just music
I know you may not read this but I figured what the fuck. My good friend lost his girl in life. He has been on the proverbial downward spiral and I played Decenium (spelling can suck a duck at this point) lyric video for him and just wanted to say thank you. That’s all Phil. Just hold on for we are strong! He was about to leave us after that and your words helped. Again. Thank you brother
This is what I love about metal in general, to a lot if people it is a genre that sounds really scary, but the people who make the band are completely relatable and nice people, like Philly here.
Hey man your music has helped me through a lot man like seriously thank you for doin what you do, Saw you guys on mayhem and you fuckin killed it, Is there anybody outside of music thats inspired you as a person?
I will also add that your mosh pit at Mayhem in Pittsburgh was one of the most positive, friendly and generally awesome. And fuck yes! Dimebag fucking Darrel ftw! His death crushed me too, but also drove me to keep playing guitar for life!
WHAT IS YOUR WARM UP ROUTINE??? i'm trying to improve my scream vocals but i could use some pointers in getting your voice prepared before you scream! thank you!
I would love to meet you in person Phil. I love the sound you bring to Deathcore. Lamb of God got me into growling, but Whitechapel got me into deep growls/gutteral. So if I could meet you for my Birthday day on May 1st, it would make an apprentice in growling so happy
If it sounds metal it's probably FUCKING METAL! About the fighting thing, If i recall correctly, on show in an old school you said. "its a fucking metal show, fights happen!"
Hi! I've a question, I do gutturals in my own band, but I've started to question whats the number of decibelios my scream are supposed to reach? I wanna know if im screaming at the level that i'm supposed to. I've actually reach 80/70 dc.
Fucking Pantera!!! Loved seeing your band on Mayhem Pittsburgh! My first show and mosh pit in over a decade. Fully agree with the genre nonsense. Also, sick to know you also worked at a car dealership like I do. Gonna start practicing like you did. xD
Hi Phil' ! You know Impericon in Paris (2015) ? (awesome concert) It was the first time i've seen you in live with a friend ! At the end of the concert, it was you who was spread on the soil ? o.o
Question 1: Do you collect CDs, vinyl or any other types of physical music? If so, can you show your collection and possibly show band merchandise that you have (like shirts)? Question 2: Have you ever thought of making a Whitechapel song (or 2) where you do clean singing? The idea of Whitechapel doing clean singing would be kind of odd, but I'm kind of curious to see how it would sound. Question 3: What bands do you not really like? #askphil
When will you or are you ever back in Knoxville? Have heard y'all have been known to be spotted at Urban bar in the old city would love to buy ya a brew
ok, i am gonna be honest here. I've seen you guys while i listen meshuggah on youtube. Then I've seen the name of the band called ` Whitechapel` and first thing i thought was `oh , maybe they are from Whitechapel, let me have a look into this band.` then I listen the song called `I demantia` . In fact mate, your voice is just beast, just godlike I literally can't tell any other vocalist better than your voice. I really love the song, then checked the band on wiki for to get more information and i realized that you guys are not from whitechapel / london. anyway, i found my favorite band for 2016 though !
I always thought phil was a crazy guy, ( I know it is stereotyping, but i thought this because the style of his music. I am a fan btw) but he seems really awesome, and down to earth.
remember the whole phil bozeman joined infant annihilator news broke out... could you imagine dan watson and phil together creating chaos... dude i would need to buy a whole new pack of underwear cuz id shit in every single one because it is soo brutal xD!
awesome video man! really cool that you have a RU-vid channel...wish more bands and musicians would do this @8:40 I HATE Metalcore/Hardcore dancing...reason is is yes you are more likely to hurt someone than moshing. I was recently at a local show in my hometown and it was a Hardcore and Metalcore scene pretty much and people were doing all that hardcore dancing and when I was walking up to get to the front of the stage a fan was swinging his arms and punched me RIGHT in the FACE!! I wanted to shove him down to the ground after that. So in my opinion I think it's stupid and more harmful than moshing would be
