This week we babble and bubble through some of your questions on phosphate binders, liner choices and algae mulching, regardless of our lack of intelligibility.
Ordered my t-shirt and my sweatshirt. David, I want one of the blue colored shirts you have on that says swim with dragons! Oh well I settled for two other colors, I actually love all of them. I am slowly hand-digging, me and my trusty shovel, my very own little natural pond using your wonderful ideas. Slow going, started a year ago as physiotherapy for my hip replacement. Way more interesting than walking around the neighborhood. I keep watching and learning from your videos and I have purchased and downloaded the video. It makes me so happy and so excited to see it come alive little by little. It will just be a small one and look more like a natural stream by the time I'm done. It is currently about 24 ft long and curves around. It's more like a dipping pond than a swimming pond because the deepest section is only about five/ five and a half feet. It's 16 feet wide at the widest point. Not bad for a 63-year-old woman. Anyway, I'm just babbling. It has been so delightful learning from you!! Ps, you are both perfectly understandable. Somebody needs to take the cotton out of their ears 😁😜
Ive built a plunge pool im so happy with it. I get some algae but i twist a stick around and walah. Chuck it on the soil.. id love you to see it, its in leicester
Thanks both. I've started excavating and realise I need anither machine to remove and transport spoil to another area. While I wrestle with skid steer versus front loader, any chance you could comment on time of year for construction? I'd like to get the swimming area dug and poured concrete base over winter, should I let it go until spring? It's a bit wet in Scotland 🙄
So I have the book and feel a bit overwhelmed. Looking to now build next year due to inflation issues with the extension! As I am in North Norfolk (about 6 miles from where you filmed that) do you house visits for site advise and stuff?
Would you come to bc Canada to covert my existing pool to a natural pool. It would be loads of fun. This is a serious question. I'm in need of helpful people.
David has a video about it..... Says he quit using soap or shampoo. He only swims in the pond daily, even in the winter with ice on the top. Says he feels better and cleaner. Quote, "My wife doesn't think I stink. No family or friends complain."
Very entertaining as usual terrestrial tele is missing a trick here there's a show in this, very much like Chris Packeham and his step daughter but more amusing from you two and wild in the hair department from David 👍🏻
I was going to build a natural pond on our family's farm in Ireland and do a rewilding. That was before my father decided to sell it so he could spend the money on prostitutes and gambling..
A moany Bob .... Dave you take away the clean T-shirt and you have that homeless man look going on ... Shaggy beard , wild hair ..... Perhaps Sarah is the social worker come to save you .
