Hi Laura, i've been watching your videos for the past hour or so and thought i'd just pop a little comment on here for you. As a registered nurse who works on a colorectal ward, I deal with stomas on a daily basis, and I have to say I think you're absolutely incredible. Your positivity through a condition that is very difficult, not only a physiological but mostly psychological level is inspiring. I will be recommending your videos to future patients. Well done sweetheart - Alex in Australia.
Was researching catheter's because i have to wear one all next weak after a urethral stricture removal, and ran into you.Had to wear them at least six times before with extreme spasms. Laura, thank you for posting these. Can you tell me what a bad day for you now is like since it was my understanding that a total colectomy would be a cure for UC? And what complications did you have post-surgery if they were relevant to your UC?
iam 29 next month and have had a colostamy all my life your bags are very different from mine in the uk and dateing has never been a problem and as u say be confadent i have never had a problem with the girls keep up the vids
first let me say I'm so glad i kinda stumble on this video but im very glad i did! I think you are an amazing strong young lady and i must of missed on how or why you have a astomy so my question was what happened that u had to have this put in? thank you again for these videos very interesting!
Hi Laura first of all I'd like to say thank you for making the video and secondly I wish u good luck for the future. I have a question to finish with. If and when u have children will you tell them about your ostomy or even show them it. I have just had an ostomy done just over a month ago my children know about it but they haven't ever seen it as they don't want to. Also would u be worried about your children getting chrones can it be in inherited. Once again good luck and I wish u well. Xx
I've got a question-My stoma has gotten alot bigger, hanging out more & within the last month I'm having to cut my wafer opening bigger! I've asked everyone & can't find any answers, anyone else gone through this?
