@RustyIsScared
@RustyIsScared 7 лет назад
@dragondude30 no offence but you have no idea what you are talking about, clarence pause atg squat raw 300kg highbar, faceless does sumo deadlift and low bar squat paralell, clarence would squat 340-350 that way and clarence could deadlift like 360 without shoes and a belt conventional, the only thing clarence is weaker in is the bench, and clarence could lift prob 210-215 tradition style wide grip bounce bench, so you have no idea what you are talking about.
@Dragondude30
@Dragondude30 7 лет назад
rubenaunet not right now he can't, if u saw a video with him in jujimufus channel. he was having trouble with 515 for 5 reps. faceless does 550 lbs for 10 reps for a warm up no joke. And faceless's conventional deadlift increased to 340 kg. i believe Clarence is much weaker now than he was before. currently I faceless would win in a strength battle

Clarence, I have two questions. First; Alot of us either have a job or school and sometimes it's hard to find the energy to head to the gym. What are key nutrition elements to increase your overall energy and focus? Second; Would you recommend to get your blood tested on a regular basis in the beginning? Lets say every 6 months to keep track of your deficiencies untill you find what works for you. Or simply to check your testosterone levels. (Alot of men actually suffer from low testosterone but it seems to be taboo to talk about it.)

huge tip that i got personaly from clarence, "nutrition timing is very important, you should eat a big meal with alot of protein and carbs between 2,5-3 hours before training" also id like to add in he drinks alot of cofee as preworkout, those two should help ALOT. oh yea and obviously get in 7-9hoursd sleep
@Ozzy200292

Daniel Chachanashvili Define eat healthy? Some people think they eat healthy but instead they have some holes in their diet and they become deficient in whatever. I myself have a vitamine D deficiency during the winter, commonly known as winter depression so every winter i take a vitamin D supplement. I only found out when I had my blood tested.

@RustyIsScared
@RustyIsScared 7 лет назад
@perforamnce fitness clarence has mentioned earlier that your front squat would be alot stronger than your clean, like 30-40 kgs it all depends on how hard you train, recover and eat etc but ithink clarence opinion would be that you would need a front squat, prob with a pause to be able to only clean 140-150kgs being able to jerk it, you would need atleast a 120kg bench press, also keep in mind the numbers you posted arent far from the natural potential to most people, many people uses like 6-7 years to clean and jerk 160-170kg but bodyweight is a huge factor obviously.
@PoppyMusica
@PoppyMusica 7 лет назад
@Steven Yeah sounds about right. When I estimated, I was really thinking about the snatch. It takes quite a while to master the full movement, some people do instantly get the overhead squat, but not most.
@RustyIsScared
@RustyIsScared 7 лет назад
@poppymusic how does that sound right when steven already had intermediate - elite power lifts? 230kg deadlift takes like 3 years to achive so how is that 3months? obviously the guy asking the question doesnt lift the deadlift with good form since hes front squat is only 110kg, this guy would probably use 2 or 3 years to get to a 160kg clean and jerk

Θανάσης Γκαζόζας you absolutely have to stretch. Foam rolling also helps a lot. I used to do 5x5 (it's 3 days a week) and on the other 4 days I just did 30-60 mins foam rolling and stretching. Also did stretching before and after a workout. Foam rolling before my workouts were a must for good form. Cheers

diyar dino I'm also doing 5x5 at the moment. Should I foam rolling just once a week for 30 minutes , or foam rolling every other day for 30 minutes ?

rubenaunet yes but it works for raw lifters as well. All my brothers including me have been doing it for 3 years straight with only three deload weeks in a year. Big 3 goes up to decent amount, at least faster than linear/DUP periodisation. IMO

Depends on how you run Bulgarian tbh As long as you aren't grinding and doing true maxes every single day it's pretty possible.

I do low bar squats more for comfort and current flexibility. Right now I'm doing weightlifting more to fix that.

Its crazy when i first started lifting i remember having the goal of squatting 100kg for five reps nice n clean. Holy shit i got there, but man the more people and knowledge you gain i now realise that is nothing ! How the hell some guys are pushing 180kg plus is madness. And im a preety good size !

The snatch and the clean are pulls. I believe he also does rear delt flyes when he's benching.

Hey Clarence, I'm your fan bro. I really like the sight of you lifting heavy weights, especially the Olympic lifts and the super heavy squats. Q: Are push ups, pull ups, squats and overhead presses enough for a recreational lifter?

they are yes.

a friend of mine does calisthenics, and squats and ohp in the gym with me, his body responds pretty good to that, his body is pretty symetrical and nice looking, not really that big but he is pretty lean so it looks good.

u dont really need them to build a complete back doe.. u can use pullups to that, cause thats whats he is asking for, but yes. if he was training in the gym only i would include heavy cheatrows and yates rows too.

Would love to see a full breakdown of Squat/Bench/Deadlift techniques and why you should use them/who should use them. It would be so beneficial to someone like me who wants to get fully into Squatting besides the other things, but I struggle to find whats best for me since i'm 6'8" with VERY long femurs and everything to do with these lifts feels generally uncomfortable. Is there any particular chance of you doing this?

clarence put up a 3-4x bench a week for me, the more you do the lift the better really, overtraining is kinda bs as long as you dont overload each workout.

1. Deep squat, 2. Heavy squat, 3. Huge quads. Combined, you make a beast in my book. I get so motivated watching your deep, thick, heavy beast of a quad squats. Thank you sir. I'm back in love with squats. How many days can u hit squats a week for optimal strenght gain? Based on your experience

Clarence if you are reading this then you should definitely compete in strength wars. It's my belief that you would school everyone there. They are very good bunch of guys and the competitions are fun. I am sure you will love. Please atleast do check them out. I'm not affiliated with them, I'm just a fan of both of you.

what do you think of bulgarian style training but only doing it 3 times a week? for example: day1 squat-max single + 2-3x3 @ 80% bench- max single + 2-3x3@80% day 2 deadlift-max single + 2-3x3 @ 80% bench- max single + 2-3x8@70% day 3 squat-max single + 2-3x5@ 75% bench- max single + 2-3x5@75%
@alianknight517
@alianknight517 7 лет назад
That's not bulgarian method. Bulgarian method has extreme frequency, often twice a day for 6 days straight. Low reps but heavy AF. If you can only workout 3 days a week then i'd suggest more reps/volume cus with this workout schedule you'll only get fat lel. Low strength and muscle gains.

Q/A: I'm new to oly , how would you fix forward jumping? I have tried to fix it by jumping more backward during the transition phase, it works but not all the time, sometimes it even causes a miss catch. Any suggestion?
@5zazen
@5zazen 7 лет назад
Pete Murphy Second pull first then jump minimally vertical, keep the bar close and get it weightless, then pull yourself under it. Differentiate between the deadlift off the floor. That should be steady then the speed on the bar goes way up as the bar passes knee height.
