When I started this channel in 2017 I never thought I would ever get more than 1,000 subscribers, and even then that was optimistic. After two years of steady growth, I reach a major milestone. I talk about travel, tourism, RU-vid, personal things and general nonsense.

Well Scott, not suggesting for a minute that you stop travelling and just do fireside chats instead, but I've been absolutely riveted for the past 54 minutes! That was great. Really good questions, answered with honesty and wit too. You really are a natural at this game. So looking forward to your journeys this year (especially the forthcoming Newcastle one...) and also to seeing you reach the next milestone of 100k subscribers! Massive congrats Scott. If you out 50k people into a room or a football stadium you suddenly realize how many that really is. Love your content and your style since I came across your channel the last 2 years or so it's a welcomed break for me from everyday life to sit down and watch your work and forget about the stressful stuff. 50k of us, all that bit more wiser everyday because of you. Congratulations. Your increase in subscribers is down to, amongst other things, your dedication, your knowledge of the travel industry and your unique style of presenting. You are very laid back, unpretentious with a dry sense of humour - all very relateable to a mature audience. You take the audience to places of interest, many off the beaten track, rather than the usual beach based locations. Keep up the good work !

Huge congratulations to you Scott from two armchair travellers in Arizona USA. Actually one of us still travels at age 75 and loves it. Wish I had started earlier than 70 years of age. Love the people I meet and the food. The other traveller would like to go but health and age limits that. Anyway, loved this show...wish that other fella we all know and love and shall remain nameless would do a Q&A too. Really enjoyed this, as usual. I can't say I approve of that 1. FC Köln mug in the background though. Although I happen to live much closer to Cologne, it's Eintracht Frankfurt all the way baby! Treat yourself to the atmosphere at the Waldstadion - and sample some Äppler (German cider) and a Rindswurst sometime. Keep the great videos coming!

I always enjoys your journeys, some of them epic, some look utterly miserable, well done on the milestone. As someone who runs a channel of more modest numbers and of a totally different topic (aimed at trainee Chartered Surveyors so fairly niche), I do see lots of planning involved in your work that the end result are some fantastic videos. Being someone who takes lots of video footage of commercial property, not for RU-vid but for work, you do get some funny looks but I've never been stopped as I always make it perfectly clear I'm their on behalf of either the landlord or tenant. I went to Marrakech and did a 4 day trip to the Sahara. It was me, my partner (both English) and 6 french men and women for the 4 days in a minibus, in each others company. 50,000! Way to go! Love all your videos. Please keep doing what you are doing. As for Alaska, you must go! I lived there for 15 years and miss it so much. I highly suggest that you take the Alaska Marine Highway (ferry) from Bellingham Washington to Juneau. Such a beautiful trip.

Hi Scott, Premier In V Travelodge. 2023 when visiting the UK stayed in the Premier Inn Earls Court and Premier Inn Kidderminster. Both where fine, had everything we needed, staff were great and location was spot on, so no complaints. Also stayed in the Travelodge Redhill Town Centre. Again everything we needed, great staff, local to everything. When I choose hotels I look at price, location and what you get in your room. This year I am returning to the UK and again have book Premier Inn Birmingham town centre and Premier Inn Telford. I'm hoping my stay will be on par with previous. After all (my opinion) your really on sleepy in the hotel. Your videos are great too.

Hi Scott - an interesting Q&A and we do share a number 1 bucket list item - Antarctica 🙏- some day You mentioned the most maligned Ryanair. Despite what people say, most of their flights leave and depart close to schedule and little goes wrong. Last year my daughter and I were flying Dublin to Glasgow. Glasgow closed when we were en-route and after circling for awhile we ended up in Edinburgh. Have to say on arrival we were met by Ryanair staff and brought to a central point in the arrivals area and within less than half an hour buses arrived to whisk us to Glasgow. I have flown a lot with them and that was the only issue Ive had - not their fault of course but handled very well nonetheless.

For a long form video with seemingly few cuts you are damn good at this format! Hope you do Kenya one day. From Ngong Hills (one of the best places I’ve ever seen) to Tsavo national park (one of the best places I’ve ever seen) to Tiwi beach Mombassa (one of the best places I’ve ever been). Agree with your thoughts on Naples it’s a pity as it really is a beautiful city but on the 3 visits whilst on cruises it was mobbed and way to busy for me. Look forward watching your future videos. You better go back to Naples Scott. You can’t judge it based on an encounter nearly 40 years ago. I went there last year and absolutely loved it. It’s still pretty chaotic and dirty but that’s what makes it fun.

Thanx for your many vlogs. 2024 means a couple of good new ideas. Get yourself a place on the first sailing of Glen Sannox (and in one of their life rafts halfway during the sailing make that the end of the sailing halfway to Brodick). Ditto for Glen Rosa. That if you are not as angry at the debacle as I am. But that is a good idea for 2024. Good luck and I hope to bump into you and buy you a cup of coffee when I am in the Paisley metropolis. 6:26 Be sure to take the train to Narva. It’s a border town on the narva river. You have Ivangorod, Russia just a few yards on the other side. You get great views of both Narva castle and Ivangorod castle facing each other off.
