Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but video.
Hi everyone.
My name is Scott and I have worked in travel and tourism most of my working life. I have been very fortunate indeed to have travelled as widely as I have, and so I've decided to share some of my adventures with others. Planes, Trains, Everything covers well, everything to do with travel. My plan is to explore, have fun, and not to take myself too seriously. I'll share my 4 decades of experience, knowledge and nonsense with you. I'd like you accompany me on these travel adventures.
Really enjoyed these videos. Good to see Blair in the videos as well. Scott - "Blair, have you anything you would like to say? Blair - "no" :-) :-) :-)
No more magic bus then …..that was testing had 3 days and no money never been so hungry….2 drivers they swapped over with the vehicle on the road …and no toilet …..the joys of being young stupid and skint in 84
I know what to call my onion rings now! Nice video, was glad to see you eating that ice cream as you look very thin, keep on knocking back the calories! I didn't realise Malaga was in division 3 either so thanks for an informative video.
My Grandfather landed on The Anzio Beachhead in WWII as a member of The U.S./ Canada First Special Service Force (Black Devil's/Devil's Brigade). He saw action on the Mussolini Canal,Monte La Difensa, The advance to The Tyber & The Liberation of Rome.
What a lovely city - the Old Town is just beautiful with quaint squares, quirky statues and beautiful buildings. Happy that you missed your train connection and have a plan to come back to explore a bit more.
I remember staying in that signal box over 30 yrs ago when the box upstairs was just empty and downstairs was a bunk house . Stayed a handful of times, often had the place to myself. No cafe, bread and milk and other basics were sold out of the station keepers kitchen window! I loved it! (It was £2 a night! Without breakfast!)
Scott, you do have an amazing knack of being able to find the quirkiest things to see and do. This may be added to my bucket list if I am ever in that part of Germany. By the way, is there any sort of barrier to stop people accidentally walking off the edge of the "suspended" platform? I couldn't quite make it out....
Despite the constructions sites, you managed to find some little gems there in Charleroi - the waffle van (of course) the art deco area was superb, I could have spent ages there looking at all the architecture, that little moules café with the huge fishing murals was great too, and the beautiful church interior. I am watching this in 2024, so your chocolate is not out of date!
After living there in Málaga for almost two years and having to leave it almost forcefully because of covid I have to say I really miss it and your video took me back to memory lane. It's great to see the city is full of life again and looking forward to returning there soon
Scott you were very complimentary about Felix bus they left me stranded in Leipzig at 6am when they should of been taking me to Berlin Airport so I Missed my flight and had no choice book again with Felix to London the good people in the office gave me 13 euros in compensation and gave me a mouthful for complaining...then had to check back into the hostel and spend all day in bed because i was sick eventually boarding the bus about 10pm to be met by 2 Eastern European driver's who were so rude so thanks FLIX for a memory I'll never forget ❤️
Try staying at the Ataranzanas hotel.. It's not expensive, but if you book it room only you will savefeven more then walk directly opposite the hotel in the morning to the Ataranzanas food market and eat there.. on the street... it's amazing.. 😂👍🏴
Reason for the old bottles of Cola might be due to the fact there is a factory producing it all not that far away from Bucharest, apx. 60 km to the north in Ploiesti. Got to tell you, the prices gone crazy in the last few years in RO & the inflation rate is also high. I don't really fancy going grocery shop to Carrefour, cause I find most of their food to be of a lower quality compared to LIDL which has a fresher alternative & Mega Image.
I'm the same when travelling, especially if it's an early start, I find it hard to sleep because I'm so excited. Your hotel must be using the word boutique with reference to its size rather than any aesthetic qualities. I like my hotel room to be part of the whole experience if I'm staying for a few days. I have stayed somewhere similar in Germany and as an overnighter it was OK.
Nice video! You did actually go to the most expensive main Grocery chain, so the prices are usually a bit lower. Especially in Lidl, which is the cheapest one.
