The hospital I work for does an Accelerated Nursing program where the students spend two weeks exploring each kind of nursing (ER, Labor & Delivery, Peds, NICU, Hospice, etc.) I think a program like that would be really awesome for Lizzie so she can try out different nursing options while doing her basic studies

When I moved out at the age of 18, my relationship with my mother suddenly improved. It was also better for us not to live under the same roof. Thank you for this dose of Lizzie! Good to see and hear that you are happy and doing great. And don't let anybody rush you (both) to marry! Your partner won't love you more than he already does and marriage is no guarantee for anything.
Lizzie, my dad was a nurse for 25 years, and two of my sisters are nurses. My dad LOVED cardiac nursing. My sister Hannah loved general surgical nursing, and then she wanted to be with her kids at school so she became a school nurse at her kids school. She LOVES being a school nurse because she gets to build relationships with all her students, and just give in to their lives. My other sister was an ICU nurse for 5 years. She is now a travel nurse. There are so many different kinds of nursing. You’ll find your niche and love every minute of it.
I hope Lizzy knows that you don’t go to nursing school for specialty until advanced degrees... The basic RN allows you to go into any field/specialty. So just start school and by the time you are ready to choose your specialty you’ll have your RN! Go Lizzie!
PS: As you go through nursing school each of the different classes has clinicals and you get to try out different specialties and see what you are good at and what you like. You will have a rotation in the emergency room, in cardiac, in Nuro, labor and delivery, pediatrics, etc. Then you’ll see what you are very good at and what comes naturally to you.
I think it's awesome that you have taken responsibility and apologized to Lizzy, even if it was just young sibling stuff. I really hope your relationship keeps getting stronger because she truly is an amazing person and will be a wonderful aunt to Bexley.

I have a younger sister and we’re 4 years apart. Our relationship flourished and our bond got so much closer when I moved out for college. There’s something about distance making the heart grow fonder for sure! And it helps not sharing a bathroom anymore 😂

Lacey, as an adult with sisters, don't stress about the way you were to your sister in childhood. I think it's completely normal to not have the greatest relationship with your sisters until you become adults, especially when you're super close in age. I am the middle sister, so I have the younger sister and older sister perspective. My older sister is 2.5 years older than me, my younger sister is 3.5 years younger than me. And my big sister picked on me and was mean to me all throughout childhood, just like I was towards my little sister. Once we all became adults and didn't live together, our relationship changed drastically. Both of my sister's are truly my best friends, we all three get along so fantastically now that we're all grown up lol. We're all now in our late 20s to early/mid 30s and I can honestly say our relationship and bond has grown so much more in the last 10 years of adulthood than it ever did throughout our entire childhood.

I grew up with both my younger brother and younger sister in a toxic household. We always bullied eachother, but when other people intervened we turned on them as a group. I think that when you're always on eachothers lip you feel you need some personal space and fights just do happen as it also sets boundaries with eachother. Also our upbringing caused us to bully eachother as a form of vocalizing internal problems caused by our upbringing. When i lived at home i hated my sister for her personality(always in my face, always mothering me and trying to be the better one of the two of us). There was serious rivalry amoung us. When we both left home we grew up and got our own lives. It did create another relationship with my sister and brother. My brother isn't so social regarding relationships; he lives his live and it doesn't seem to click with either me or my sister. #seriouslyintroverted My sister and i have grown so close. We can talk about everything from minor things to really personal things and even medical stuff that might be embarrasing. We love how the relationship evolved and cherish the deep personal contact.
You can go to the maricopa community colleges are do the CEP program! Or you can do the traditional program and it’s just 5 prerequisites and you can apply for a 2 year waitlist while you work! You should knock those classes out! You got this girl!
What is really funny is I am binge watching on old videos with your family and I have to say...YES! Lacy you were mean to Lizzy! LOL!! Never really noticed until you two did this video together. Great Q&A! So good to see Lizzy. Yeah, sisters close in age have a tenancy to argue growing up. My sister and I had some doozies. She used to sock me in the arm! We get along a lot better living apart....LOL. I can see Lizzy working in the medical field. Nurses are in high demand now and make a lot of $$$$. OR.....going to college and getting a teaching degree. She could teach 1st or 2nd grade. She would be awesome. PLUS, good benefits and summers off! So glad that you guys can get together alone and good quality time. Shout out to Eli for watching the baby while you can get out.
Laura (my younger sister with the short hair that was with me the last we visited) tells me "Kyrie, I can only handle like, two maybe three days of you and then I hit my limit!" 🤣🤣🤣 But we are so close! We call each other the brat sisters because we're always major brats to each other! 🤣 I adore her though! ❤️ I've always been really close with my sisters but as soon as the twins were born I connected to them on such a more intense level because I got to see how much they adored my children and now I'm super close with all of them! ❤️ Love seeing you both together!
