The first sentence is literally wrong. Maybe Trelane was a Q but that’s just a guess. We all know Q was first in Encounter at Farpoint. Sounds to me like AI generated scripts that aren’t fact checked
I usually enjoy Marvelous Videos, but his Mispronounciation of a lot of Basic races or places makes me believe he has never seen an episode of Star Trek TNG.
I think if you are going to do videos about a topic at least learn how to pronounce the characters and races names. It might help if you tried watching a show if you are going to do videos about them.
The person that did this video is obviously not a Star Trek fan. He mispronounces at least 2 major words. Learn the pronunciation of the word before recording yourself saying it.
My theory on the Q were one of the first species within the multiverse (or greater omniverse) to come into sentience which after an eon or two they became the Q we've seen in Star Trek TNG, DS9, VOY, and Picard. A species that had become bored and complacent and every now and then, some of them toy with mortal species.
@@kevinwestrom4775 I'm pretty sure that Trelane was inspiration for Q, If not an actual Q. At the end of that ST:TOS episode Trelanes parents appeared to reel in Trelane and his antics. Kirk had asked so many questions to figure out what he just went through but all he got was a condesending apology. *** sound familiar ? *** Yea, Trelane was a baby Q playing with toys.
Despite antagonistic, the Q always always teach humanity valuable lessons about living life to fullest, never take life for granted, and they must forget who they are as well as letting them know what their purpose in life really is.
It could be argued that Delance Q taught even more valuable lessons than even Quinn did. Prime Q was more in your face while Quinn just kinda nudged things along, one was playing 4d chess and the other was inventing the game as it went along. Both are equally effective though but in bygone simpler ages compared to one another.
@@imperialstrategies6065 There is nothing to suggest they have multiverse level powers though. I think the Q are more along the lines of the watchers because they are basically galaxy level reality warpers themselves. It's not just the nature of their powers, it's the scale at which they can use them.
@@imperialstrategies6065 Actually they do have basically wish granting type powers so yeah at least low level reality warping. Like you said the only reason they don't use these powers is thier non-interference policy. Just an eye was powerful enough to make a normal human nearly omnipotent compared to other normal humans. They are basically celestial or Galactus level in power, they would seem just as Q like to us as an actual Q would. They at very least have universal teleportation abilities and telepathy on a galaxy level, as they did allow all citizens in the galaxy to see Galactus in his various forms when the fantastic 4 were on trial. They can change size and appearance, become invisible and levitate themselves to fly at any speed and these are all considered latent abilities for them. That and they are often called to counsel for the living tribunal during universal and multiverse threats. All of those beings are just as powerful as a q is easily and are at various levels of power themselves. And let's not forget their most well known ability "cosmic awareness" of at least a galaxy wide scale. Based on feats and known abilities the q are barely above Odin in comics lore. I think Q is a Matthew Malloy at best, but for beings like the watchers, the celestials or the elders of the universe all share such abilities. Likewise I rate the q high above the ascended ancients from Stargate so there are very distinct levels of reality warping in science fiction. A four stone Thanos could beat one in my opinion.
The Q are pretty OP and at the very least nigh omnipotent if not fully and are still way beyond everyone else in Star Trek, in the comics only the Prophets were able to challenge his power to a stalemate til other Q's got involved to resolve it in the Q Gambit. Q was depowered by other Q's but never by anyone else's power over him/them The Q and the Q2 was just that one Q who wanted to die so he willed it and wanted to die. The Q can also exist in heaven on another plane of existence as we saw when he saved Picard and resurrected him to get a second chance in life in Picard's timeline at the same point where he screwed up the first time, giving Picard a second chance. Also, fun fact Q was doing the reality warping finger snap before Thanos.
I like the information presented here, and this man is obviously a fan of star trek. But it bothered me how he pronounced some of the names. Minor critique lol.
Is Marvelous Videos narrated by real people or AI? Given how they mispronounce words all the time, and the frequency of which these vids are released, it makes me think they are all done by a computer.
War isn't initiated unintentionally by insufferable, bored demigods. I used to believe that it were too. War is a precision based, careful construction, woefully but willfully initiated circumstance, perpetrated only on those capable of the experience. Sad but true.
Thank you! I had to listen to the opening line twice just to make sure I heard that right. Seriously if you have no love for the subject matter don't bother making the video right?
I tried to enjoy this video. But this narrator has never watched a episode of Next Generation in his life. Six minutes in and he cant even pronounce Guinan's name or the name of her species properly. Seriously do y'all not have producers or directors to correct these mistakes during recording?
If you are going to do a video please pronounce the names properly. This read is so bad I had to stop after a about 6 minutes. Re-upload with proper pronunciation and I’ll give it a second try.
My gosh, listening to this clown mispronounce names is hilarious. Ah i remember Gwinnin well. That indispensable star trek chatacter. "FLOWERS!! Is there a jean Luck Pickerd here?"
I like the idea that the Q evolved in the universe before ours. Q saying they were once not corporeal, he might have meant in the universe before and so when Q mentioned the Q have always existed, he was only talking about our universe.
Q in the original 1966 version? WTH are you talking about? Q is a next Gen character dude. What's next, Remember when Jesus parted the red sea? Come on. Remember when Harry Potter helped those hobbits take that ring to the death star? Remember when captain Picard had to fight Yoda to get Princess peach back from the Vulcans. I'm going to have a nerd heart attack
Marvelous Videos, please get someone who knows and WATCHED Star Trek to do these Star Trek Videos. He mispronounced so many things, it was becoming cringy.
Obviously the narrator hasn't watched a single episode or he would be able to PRONOUNCE the names properly. My God it's like someone wearing a concert shirt of a band they never listened to.
i truly wish u guys would have someone who is an actual fan, or at least seen a handful of episodes covering the material in the video. or at least the fckn editor or someone can catch this stuff before its in post. Guinan is a singular being, and its pronounced Guy-nan. alot of ur content is this way, produced and narrated by people who are clueless to the material. i appreciate the videos, but ur fan base would appreciate it if yall would do some research beyond google. talk to some fans, and get a better editor and narrator
@@williamcrowe2576 in one of the brony cons. The writers of the show did a q&a. One of the writers said the only difference between discord and q is one is a cartoon character and the other is live action
Next time let the guy who wrote the script read it! Ive never laughed so hard! I didnt know whether Whoopis character was a character or pill i took for malaria!
kahn tin e um. lol It's pronounced continuum /kən-tĭn′yoo͞-əm/ You have quite theproblem pronouncing Vulcan, Romulan, and others. Shows that the narrator is not a true Trek fan.
_"When the Star Trek universe had its humble beginning in 1966, there's no doubt in people's minds that Q were..."_ FULL STOP Q debuted in 1987. _Nobody_ was thinking about Q in 1966 and wouldn't for another 21 years. It took only _twelve seconds_ for you to convince me that you don't know Jacques Schitt about Star Trek. I do believe this is a record.
Guinan's name was badly mis-pronounced by this video's narrator,..on at least a few occasions within it. The Q Continuum was also mispronounced. Lastly, "Q's"? " Hard to fully listen when so many bad pronunciations are done by this narrator.
Not to sound rude but why are names and species being mispronounced? Jordan needs to stop talking about John Delancey and like focus on what he’s reading or what he’s trying to tell us because sadly it’s like I don’t know what to think. It’s like this guy never seen an episode of Star Trek. It’s like they just gave them something to do and I’m sorry if I sound rude, but like come on man, please.
Bro, I cannot believe how well you got through all of the Star Trek speak. Those scripts were notoriously bamboozling to even seasoned performers like Patrick Stewart. I’m sure that most people will assume that you’ve never seen any Star Trek media. I can only imagine the horror of facing down that much Trek techno-babble and strangely foreign-sounding names on a cold reading. BRAVO, SIR, BRAVO
He obviously has never watched an episode of star trek or he would know how to pronunciate the character's names. I don't think he created this content himself.I think he's obviously got it from some place else. He is a fraud. He is a poser he is a fake. I will not watch him again.
WTF bro, how can you mess up so many pronunciations in such a short time? I'm dtyslexic and have mental health issues but know "how to talk the words I mean to speak"
Is an AI reading the script? If not, please watch some episodes. I'm having trouble with the horrible mispronouncing of names being so distracting, this video is getting a thumbs down because of it.
dude just punched factual data from episodes into chat gpt and read the script dude, you mispronounced so many words and not just limited to star trek specific vocabulary; it was hard to listen to
