When I built car chassis’s I learned that chromoly isn’t lighter than mild steel but rather it’s stronger so you can run thinner walled tubing to achieve same strength and in turn is lighter. Just made me think of it with your explanation. Pretty excited to see the new line up!
These videos are starting to paint the picture of why customer service at Q sucks so bad. Since my little $3k Honey Badger was not a new 8.6 BLK, they couldn’t waste the time to figure out what was wrong with it. They were too busy hunting in Africa to take care of us regular customers. It took two months for them to shoot a few rounds through my gun and return it with the same problem. I sent it back with videos, another month and still not fixed. Unacceptable.
you can deep draw titanium, there are literally thousands of deep drawn commercial products. they are not grade 5 generally, but it's very possible. fundamentally though 17-4 PH is just a better material for the application
Dang son, all the hate on dead air is hilarious. I’d be pretty upset if I was one of the ones with a faulty Sierra 5 as well, but I still really want a sandman s, or a CGS Helios (if I had that kind of scratch). They make the best mount in the game
Very Cool and very exciting news. Can’t wait 😛 just want it Now! Sry just drooling 🤤 over my future relationship with Q products.. huh 🤔 so worked up I gotta learn to cool it. Even if I am able to fill my cart with cans those ladies will have to wait in jail, for a few months while the government figures out whether or not my hearing is important..
@@qllc8143 Haha, love these videos! Especially when he picks on Jim Bob the local gunsmith that thinks he knows everything. Keep up the good work guys.
If you’re a hater and you’re reading this- you probably watched the entire video and you’re stewing in your own sadness trying to think of what cringe comment you can leave to hurt Kevin’s feelings. #SuckIt
Flash was the big thing against Ti for me. I _want_ a full auto belt fed rated can that can handle no barrel restrictions so that it'll last forever on my semi auto 5.56 12.5", but I dont need it. What I dont need is a can that adds muzzle flash I didn't have with the flash hider. On something like the 300 BLKOUT or 338 BLKOUT Ti cans dont seem to flash, but on 5.56 and .308 it's brutal. Oh god though, a full Ti .22LR can weighs like 2 oz and is perfect baring cost of course because people dont like paying a lot for .22 cans and that's understandable.
With maraging steels and now High Entropy Alloys, titanium is at a severe disadvantage in every aspect except maybe cost. Btw, if Q needs a metallurgist, I know a guy ; )
Q stuff is so far from affordable but cool, though my only chance of owning neat shit like that is if ever win in his giveaways which i have tried 2 times! First time bought 3 mystery shirts & never won, 2nd time i purchased big $ money package and still did not get shit! … I’ll try again & we will see if Q makes me a 3 X looser!
Whats wrong with dead air? I've seen Q welds and by comparison they are shit to dead air's. No offense, but currently their products preform better than yours. Amd they look better too
Why? There's never going to be a "one and done" can. Theyre all going to be hearing safe. What this video is about is having OPTIONS. Q says it themselves...each can has a purpose. You want lightweight...go titanium or short can. You want sound suppression..size matters, bigger is better. Want flash and sound suppression...stay away from titanium and get a thicc Boi. Q has enough cans now that you can pick one out based on your needs. There's tradeoffs to everything and it's pretty much guaranteed theyre all hearing safe.
PewScience needs to publish their methodology for sound suppression ratings, especially as it relates to evaluating the entire sound pressure curve. Until then, it can't be used, reproduced, and validated by a 3rd party and thus it is NOT science.
