What's good everybody!! After a brief trip to the middle east, I am back and slowly getting back into the swing of things!! First addition coming back is this sweet set of DRLs from www.doctorQ50.com. The install went smooth and as you will see in the video is a very easy to accomplish mod that I highly recommend!!

I have confidence in led tech, but I don’t want them to die out in a year because they were one all the time. Better safe than sorry ya know!

@@Foxcraze I know what you mean. I hooked mine up to the side amber led light or running lights. You know the one that has the 3 dots lol. That way they are not always on. I have my LED emblem hooked up with my fogs. I like to have my lighting in stages lol

Hi guys! I recently got as a gift sequential front bumper turn signals for infiniti Q50. After connecting them to the original plug, it turned out that only the first two LEDs are activated and the rest of the turn signals blink rapidly as if one of the turn signals is faulty. The electrician at the Infiniti dealership who installed it tried to add a resistor, however, this did not help. The car has been produced in 2018- My question is, did you have such a case? Can you maybe advise something on how to deal with this problem? I would really appreciate some advice 🙏

That sounds like a short in the actual light and may be defective. I can’t imagine a tech wired it wrong… if you have a video send it to my IG!

Yeah I tried to use these in my 17 stang, they didnt quite work but I think with a little bit of persuasion you could make it work. I think that'd look pretty slick.

That is rather odd. Are they not bright in the sense that some of the LEDs may be blown or bad or not bright in the sense that it’s not getting max power output efficiency?

I recommend NEVER having a load resistor on anything plastic. Those things get EXTREMELY hot. Always run extra cable if needed & mount to a metal surface. Especially with it being on a DRL

Can I use a quick splice connector instead of a t tab splice?

Dealers choice, I used what I had available at the time plus I like being able to unplug the t tab and remove the bumper without taking off the lights.

I am having an issue with my DRLS. When they are white (2 or 3 of the dots) start flashing! I got new ones they worked fine for a few weeks then it started doing it again - is that to a faulty Load resistor???

It’s unlikely both sets were faulty. Did the second set come with a resistor as well? If you order a third set I would def replace the resistor as well and hopefully that fixes the problem.

@Foxcraze I reused the same resistors for the second set unfortunately and now only the pas side is blinking I am going to swap them out this week and see what happens. Appreciate you commenting back bro. 🫡

What wire would I need to tap into if I have the diode dynamic always on module for the fog lights and I want the drl to always stay on aswell

I can honestly say I’m not sure since I don’t personally have the module installed however I got the knowledge on what I did discuss from Speedculturestudios install video where he used the module harness as the power source. Maybe check out video, he might have discussed it!

Hey I installed these and they worked fine until I took them apart and rewired them back on. The turn signals work but the DRLS don’t. Any help?

When you say took them apart, do you mean just uninstalled them or opened them up? The DRL wire could be grounding out from an exposed section of wire, have a short from a broken solder point in the housing or the resistor could have went out.

@zemps6542 short of rechecking the wiring and putting the resistor on a tester to see if it’s getting voltage I’m not sure what else to recommend man. You can make a jumper cable to hook to the drl wiring and tap it on the + battery lead and see if they function, that will eliminate any internal housing issues.

Hey, great video just one question. When I installed the kit without the diode dynamics kit the fog light didn’t turn on. Any solution?

Thank you! What specifically was your installation method? The fog lights are factory wired so they should come on as designed from the factory.

@foxcraze I bought a set, but as I plug and play, I’m getting hyper flash; and when I put my tester on the live wire with sequential light installed, it works normal. Any comments ?

Did your lights come with the supplied resistors and if so did you place them in line and test it as well?

Between driving the Infiniti daily and deployments, I don’t have the time to keep the car down to do the install correctly. Once I get my prelude running I will have it to drive and put the Infiniti under the knife

With me having a 2018 with LED lights all around from Factory would I still need to get a set of resistors?

The lights should have came with the needed resistors when you bought them. All LED's run higher than their operating voltage which makes the resistor needed. I would say to just plug them in and see what happens. You will know immediately if the resistors are still needed. I can’t give you a definitive answer unfortunately sorry.

Yeah the lights and wiring should be identical with exception of the illuminated emblem plug that may or may not be added to the newer models.

What year is your Q and do you have the adaptive headlights? Mine is a 14 with standard headlights which might have played a factor.

Hey I installed mines but for some reason the driver side sequential takes a split second to switch to the white drl before going to the sequential sequence. Might be the wiring?

Possible or the light has an internal issue which I have seen common in the comments. Make sure none of the wires are touching each other or any external metallic surface. If thats not the case make sure you have a solid connection to the resistor on both ends . If none of that is the issue then it might be a defective light.

I really need help man. I have a 15’ Q and can’t figure out what wire is the headlight drl so i can tap into it. Tried the one you said in the video for passenger side and it doesn’t work

Does the drl function by connecting to a direct power source? On my plug the pinkish wire gave me power on the passenger side. It’s possible I could have misspoke but I’m fairly certain I didn’t. Do you have a tester to check the wires for power?

@@Foxcraze No tester unfortunately. The drl does not function without a direct source of power and neither does the sequential. Also there are 2 kind of pink wires and one of them im tapped into for the led logo and it turns on when headlights are on

If you plug the sequential in and run the drl power wire to say the battery, does it work? I just want to rule out a faulty drl.

You will have to use an extra piece long enough to reach and just twist them together to test it out. I would say just buy a cheaper tester from Walmart or turn the drl setting on with the high low lights themselves off and then unplug the headlight and touch the inside of each wire till you find the correct one.

Which wire is the DRL for driver’s side headlight? I’m installing the LED emblem i tapped it wit the green wire first but I didn’t have power and now I did. to the pink wire (headlights) and I get the power only when headlights on. I want it on basically wit the DRL and EVERYTIME I lock/unlock the car, which wire should I tap it with?

I have a 2014 premium and my pin 1 wire is def green but if you have a more upgraded model than me it’s possible yours is a different color. Turn the headlights off so only the DRL is active and hit each pin with a multimeter to find the hot one.
