So many people misuse 'literally' that it will probably change its meaning, as has happened to so many words such as 'enormity', 'decimate' and 'let', which used to mean 'prevent'.

@Tmanaz480 Except, in this case, she was absolutely correct. It is, in fact, *literally* the tip of the *proverbial* iceberg. The organ itself is somewhat analogous to the head of the male penis, and in a woman, extends anywhere from 5 to 7 inches up into the front of her pelvic floor. Hence, the G-spot being where it is. Of course, not that many men even know where the G-spot is, so this explanation won't help them a bit.

When I write "a lot," my brain tells me I'm spelling it wrong and even when I read over it my brain stumbles. I think I'm just going to avoid those words now and instead use "assign" and "many." The majority of the clitoris structure is inside the body, while only the small glans part of the clitoris is exterior and visible.

I believe recent (10ish years?) found that a large portion of the clitoris encircles the vagina, which helps to explain female orgasm by penetration.

It actually goes 10cm deeper into the body more than the little bit that shows.
