This video presents 11 ancient Chinese Qigong self-massage exercises to activate energy channels and pressure points in the body and limbs. When performed routinely, these exercises are used to strengthen the body and to reduce tension, fatigue, irritation, frustration and pain.

​@Eight Pieces I so enjoy your style of teaching - doing the actual movement, subtitles, no talking, your smile and gracious demeanor, the setting of nature and its sounds. It’s a perfect qi gong format, I think! Your videographer is an artist in capturing you in those settings. I first saw your vids at the beg of Covid two years ago. Beautiful videos, thank you for sharing so generously. I have been doing them for four years now and have gained so much. I recently injured my dominant shoulded so I only do the massages. Hopefully, I shall manage the Eight Pieces soon. With love from India. ❤

In general, qigong exercise promotes the energy flow in the human body. It creates harmony and balance. It improves overall health in a person and corrects or slows down many degenerative problems. The massage movements in the two videos we prepared work with the acupressure points and meridians that are most helpful to stimulate the energy flow.

I have started practising Body&Limbs massage and it really works! Please advise me how many time a day it can be done? Why 32 repetitions is a rule?Will you give us some info about its origin? Thank you in advance!

I am glad you find these helpful. I do each exercise only once a day. If you have a favorite, or need more attention on the knee or hand, you may do the massage multiple times. There is no magic in 32 repetitions. Some people prefer 36 repetitions. The massages are based on acupressure points and energy channels (meridians). These have been in use for over a thousand years. The web may help you with information on the origins.

May I respectfully ask, I noticed a long scar on your left knee, have you had surgery there or a replacement? I ask because I have had a total knee replacement and have been helped so much more by watching your videos than any western physiotherapy. May you life be long and happy, best wishes to you and all your loved ones.

I have d a total knee replacement on my left knee due to years of abuse on the tennis court and arthritis. That was the most important factor which led me to seek out and focus on qigong exercises and self-message. Thankfully my knee pains are gone and I am able to avoid surgery on my right knee. For treating high blood pressure, you must see a doctor. These exercise are helpful in the long run to balance the system, reduce anxiety, and promote good circulation. I would not say any single exercise could reduce blood pressure readings. Thank you for asking a good question.

This morning I was doing your 8 brocades video when my husband walked into the room, I told him "Look, I want to be like her when I'm that age!". I am 35 at the moment. Hello Master, is there any order of doing 8brocades and these massages? and for massages,can they be done in day or night? does it matter?

You can do either the 8-Pieces first, or the massages first. It does not matter. For massages, there is a preferred order. Do the Head-and-Face before you do the Body-and-Limb. You should do these exercises when you have time to relax and concentrate. I do them in the morning to benefit from the good energy flow throughout the day.

I do the 20-min 9 Pieces of Silk Brocade first thing in the morning, followed by the massages. But you may do as you feel comfortable. Thanks!

These videos are amazing! Every single one of them Been doing them a lot when we were in a lockdown due to COVID, and those vids were one of the only things that eased my mind. Came back a few years later, cause I remembered it gave me so much peace. Thank u for this.

Thank you so much! I worked through a couple of your routines now. I work on the computer a lot of the day - when would be the best time of day to apply this routine? I really love that there is no sound but the song of the birds. It fills me with incredible tranquility.

I enjoy doing the 8-Pieces of Silk Brocade and the self-massage in the morning. But if you work in front of a comuper all day, take a mid-morning or mid-afternoon break with self-massage. It feels wonderful!
