Qigong The 8 Pieces of Brocade practice that I filmed with my teacher Vladimir. It’s suitable for all levels and provides a thorough full body practice. Mindful movements train body awareness and encourage blood circulation throughout the body while slow, deep breathing provide relaxation and helps to calm the nervous system.
Keep your breathing natural and relaxed. Try to do the movements without creating any tension in the body, and remember to only go to a point that feels comfortable.
Note:
The 8 pieces of Brocade is one of the Qigong classics. One can never outgrow this routine as it offers an array of benefits and levels to grow.
If you are a beginner, work towards a proper body alignment and body awareness ( you should feel your feet, legs, torso and arms all connected). Learn to trust your body and relax the mind as you practice. If you are an experienced practitioner, deepen your practice by training concentration and paying attention to the sensations and the feelings after the movements. Slow down your breath and enjoy the flow of energy throughout the body.
