If you trick you’re bike into thinking the clutch is always pushed in , dosent that mean you have to ride you’re bike while holding in the clutch the whole time ?
I had a similar wheel setup last year (Scorchers with 10's/9's) and went to a shop in Hartford to balance them. 9's will not fit on the wheel machine. I just switched to 10x8 - 10x10 and now they are having issues mounting the new tires hahaha. Never ends..
So you say it only does the limiter only in 5th gear so is there not a way to trick it into thinking its in a gear where there is no such limiter to alow it to rev out to the full limiter
Granted I had an '02 660R, but when I bought mine from Mid America Motoplex (now Vern Eide) they said I should install a 1 tooth larger front gear for cruising SuFu because of the 30-35mph speed limit. Going one tooth larger in front is the equivalent of 2-3 in the rear. I went from about 2mph slower than a 450 to 3-4mph faster.
I've been considering going up a tooth but at the same time I don't wanna lose that acceleration. Might throw a 15t on the front and see what it feels like though, thanks for watching man!
MotoPosh with the first 2 gears you won't notice anything because of how small/ close the gears are. 3rd will seem just a hair taller, and then you'll just notice it on the top end. I promise you'll love it. My teeth started to get rounded off on my factory one and so I replaced it with the one tooth larger and put a new chain on.
Maaan?....That 700 is meant for the dirt. Not the highway. Now you cruising around the city was cool. Highway forget about it. Single cylinder will get tired real quick. Goodluck
Speed limiter is there so that you dont blow your engine by mistake. Personally would not recommend it. The 700r engine was not made for speed. If you want a fast street quad, think of replacing the stock engine to a motorbike one.
When someone wants to bypass the speed limiter, my first question is, "How well do you know engines?". Bypassing the speed limiter is not for the novice person with barely any mechanical skills. I know a lot of people who bypass the limiter than damage their engines because they don't understand their engine. First thing, first and foremost, install a tachometer. Second, do research on your particular engine. Know how high you can rev it before it goes into the danger zone. After that, feel free to mod the engine and remove the limiter. Anyone who removes the limiter without doing what I mentioned can have serious consequences result. A firm understanding of how an internal combustion engine also helps.
Removing the clutch sensor doesn't make the engine rev high then factory only thing your doing is letting the engine rev all the way up to the STOCK rev limit in 5th gear by removing the sensor and making the ecu think the clutch is pulled in so it can reach the STOCK rev limt and bypass the speed limiter in 5th gear

Can confirm on the raptor, removing the speed limiter only allows the engine to rev to redline in 5th gear. You'd need Autotune or an ecu reprogram to change the redline of the engine
