I replaced clutch lever and zip tied sensor couple years ago, i didnt know exactly what it did(heard rumor about rev limiter affected) but i could tell it was faster and would rev out longer. I assumed i had to be carefull after doing that. Thanks for the information!
Thx for the great info and do you reckon it’ll be the same theory on the yfzr? Also have you thought of swapping to standalone ecu and do you think it is worth it if cost isn’t an issue? Thank you always Daniel
Do you know if this affects the Third gear? When I'm climbing huge Sandy Hills that don't let you get much time to accelerate I'm barely getting it in third gear and then when I get to the top 3/4 of the way it starts to wind down and I need to downshift into second I wish my third gear would just scream all the way up like my buddy's Yamaha 450 YFZ or YZF I forget LOL I just want my third gear to tear it up any suggestions? I was thinking of messing with the sprocket teeth but not too sure. I have the big gun exhaust with big gun fuel controller and air lid box removed and K&N air filter in the mail on the way I'm hoping that helps out to give it some more punch.
Question for ya, I have an 06 big bore stage 2 camshaft, bigger air filter, dual exhaust heat wrap tape, and my temp light is on, I’ve replace the thermostat and radiator working, n water pump works not what to look for?? Thanks
Hey Cuervo i got my raptor 700r and they cut the wire so it will only start in neutral and not other gears. Did they basically do that to get rid of the speed limiter?
So there's no real solution to installing empire dual exhaust on a 2020 then? Eventually it's just going to throw a check engine light or does the proper map on a tuner solve that?
On my 07 when I unplugged the switch from the clutch perch my idle would go up when shifted in gear then go back to a normal idle when shifted back to neutral, I had to connect the safety switch wires together to have a consistent idle
@@Zionslayer1 On my first 2 raptors an 06 and an 09 the switch was just unplugged and zip tied up out of the way and the idle was fine on my current 07 it had this idle issue when it was unplugged unless the wires were connected
What do you do if you have a 21 raptor, and you want a ASV Clutch lever and you automatically have to remove the switch? If I get the check engine light do I have to put the switch back on to the old lever ?
So 2015-2020 bikes have to keep the stock levers or you’ll run into issues because of the sensor not being plugged into the lever correct? I wanted to put asv clutch and brake lever’s but if I understood correct it’ll throw the check engine light after a while if it not being plugged into the stock lever?
The 450s are the same deal for anyone wondering. Although mine is a weird one because iv had mine unplugged for years and it never made a light come on. Not even Rath can explain lol. The yfzs still have alot of ass to give in 5th especially modded.
@@MrCuervoRacing Is there any reason why I'm able to spin up to 7400 RPMs in 5th gear versus the 6400. That is according to my RPM gauge. I know it's pretty accurate because I can spin the engine at 9,000 RPMs in fourth gear but when I hit 5th I can only spin it up to 7,400.
Sooo what is the answer on 15+? Lol.. you talked about the 15+ bikes 3times and all answers were all different about what works and doesn’t lol? Can you clarify
It only affects 5th gear right? Do you know of a way to get more out of third gear changing sprockets or something? My third gear loses power when I'm climbing huge Sandy Hills I always have to downshift into second gear I'm talking about huge Sandy steep hills though and I weigh over 250 lb so not sure if that's just why LOL. I got the big gun exhaust and big gun fuel controller with air lid removed I have K&N filter on the way in the mail hoping that will give it some more punch I don't know what to do.
