DrIvanRadosivic doomslayer and doomguy represent the same character, they just have different names. In fact they are both often referred to as the Doom marine.
Pretty nice. The "Arena" skin for Doomguy actually looks more similar to the Doom 64 for version than the Quake 3 one. Also, you should have also shown the Quake 1 model for Ranger :P
They did a really good job with the character designs in QC. I'm not so sure about the abillities and diverse health/armor pools and speed but the visual designs are really good.
well any character based fps has issues major flaws other than maybe tf2 but that fails in other ways but yeah generally different stats make a game feel more unfair and less skill based
I'm glad they did good ol' Doomguy justice in this one. If only the new Doom's multiplayer lived up to the pace and appearance of the classics. Also thought it was cool that one could recolor the Quake marine with face mask to look like a classic UAC soldier too.
My point exactly, Quake's multiplayer is like '93 Doom's with bigger jumps and more complicated physics. '16 Doom is sedate like Halo, but with a double jump and gibs.
DrIvanRadosivic over simulating or actual doom?. Doom mp is severely basic in comparison to both quake and dooms original vanilla. Either way again tomato tomato like this guy. It still isn't doom, just a fast paced CoD.

Blazkowicz should have more comparisons like the Doom Slayer. _Liberator_ is based on his look in Wolf 3D and _The Legend_ is based on the covert art of that game.

BJ and Doomguy are def the most badass characters in the entire universe. iD should get the same people who made Deadpool/Deadpool 2 to do a Doom and Wolfenstein movie or show using these CGI likenesses, using mostly stories and dialogue from the games. Could be a big deal, and would be easily better than 99% of what Hollywood shits out.
is quake the same universe as doom, or did doomguy somehow travel through time and space to get there? I only play doom, plan on quake sometime soon though.
I just imagined B.J and (no helmet) classic doomguy clashing their forehead with one another and B.J goes "who let Buzz Lightyear in?" And doomguy just roaring hatefully
Pretty sure the combat fatigues for BJ are really just his uniform from New Order's intro. Sadly missed opportunity for maybe the original or even a 2009 outfit.
He's one of the many marines that where sent to the demon-infested tunnels of Phobos and was betrayed by his superiors. In addition, I've read somewhere that while Doomguy was killing the demons, Phobos on the other hand was able to control them somehow. I'm not sure about the last part, it may be obsolete or even from fanfiction.
