Love this new intro, buddy. I want Fatshark to recognize you like they do other RU-vidrs as I feel you have done much more for the Vermintide 2 community than anyone else. Everyone else feels the same.

I began Vermintide 2 back in June 2021 & I already have 1400hours in the game 🤣 Many aspects of the game were confusing as hell & I remember checking on RU-vid for answers & found your videos. Loved the humour & then the technical explanations for everything. Also, you never let it get to your head. If you remember, we played Chaos Wastes together a couple weeks ago (we got rekt by illusionist Minotaurs at the end lol) & it was fun. Keep doing what you're doing buddy because you're doing a fking awesome job 👍 I'm pretty excited for the new update tomorrow haha

Recently I get hit by much more dwarf engineers with their mini gun rather than elves... I think elves using the moonfire bow reduced incoming friendly fire I take from them. Also Saltz his new cosmetic is clearly a nod to the Landsknecht fashion, the slit puffy vest is a clear indication, the crotch piece as well. If you look into Landsknecht codpieces this is very very tame compared to historical pieces

The trick to not get and elf in your team is to pick the elf yourself. Theres noone to flame then :D

My only wish with the update is they implemented their own UI Tweaks into their "Unified UI", or at least a few presets.

We're getting no Wobble like I'd hoped! But was disapointed they didn't add Loadouts. Am worried about Moonbow changes coming, something about Headshots or something increase Dot? Completely unique mechanic that is. And no more explosions which is a bit odd to change, what purpose will this bow surve? if it's just now basically a Longbow with better projectile drop over range then okay...? Hagbane, now this one really is confusing me, why are they buffing it? It's the strongest Bow on Waystalker by far as you can do so much with it, Stagger a Hoard and standard Elites easily whilst doing good damage which gets better with density. It can with correct breakpoints on Cata, 2 shot all Specials at least 3 to 5 shot (improves with Barrage stacks) Elites besides Chaos Warriors of course. If you add a Strength pot, you casn take on a SV patrol with ease and do decent damage to a Chaos Patrol, also Strength pot very helpful for Monster DPS. There is literally ZERO reason to buff it apart from inexperianced players saying "Must use shiny bow cus BeTteR hur dur" when they are not for the same purpose, I see Hagbane as similar to Conflag Staff cus it can control Hoards and normal Elites whilst doing good damage and is decent vs Specials. Moonbow is best on all other Elf careers apart from Waystalker cus she has a way to have unlimited ammo with her ult and the other Elf careers do not, so Moonbow infinate ammo is no brainer for the rest. Moonbow is just a anti special weapon which is also good for Elites in short bursts as limited by energy and can be okay vs Hoards when like at a dropdown/climb point where density increases for higher energy to damage efficiency, but you cannot use the Moonbow like a Hagbane, it's not possible cus oh how its ammo works, you can't keep shooting and shooting and shooting like you can with Hagbane. Anyone that uses Moonbow on Waystalker is just being lazy imo, you can do so much more with Hag. When they buff it, it's going to be so stupidly good, absolutily something that did not need buffing at all.

About Lingering Flames changes, so what happens for example with Beam Staff+Barrage, when you are applying to a boss for example and your Barrage reaches 5 stacks, when you stop shooting it and Barrage turns off, does the bonus damage from barrage stay applied to the monster? Or will it get removed, I was confident it changes back to without barrage but now I'm not sure.

It changes back because barrage is a raw power buff. It would be the same if you drank a strength pot after applying the dot then the dmg would increase but would go back down when the effect was removed. But there are differences in dmg from certain dot's depending on what they are applied from! :)

@@ThePartyKnife Yeah my initial assumption was right then, cus otherwise that would be kinda broken lol. Although i still don't think Beam + lingering would be the way to go, I do believe there is a slight use case for new Lingering on Conflag Staff for the OG Slow Cooker build as you use quick AOE explosions for rapid stagger which has a weaker Dot but currently can't overwite that with the Max charge explosion after which is annoying, but now with the change coming, there may be actual value in using that Talent. 🤔 Though Lingering will nerf Fire Sword Dot potential damage too so it's a hardish sell over Famished still even with the change.

Bit of a rant about the Armoury mod which is how I see it being not as good as it should be as it needs to add some context so some things. Now that I understand Weapon modifiers and can easily look them up, there is one thing that's really annoying about the Armory mod, and that is "Armour Damage" bit, cus that to me when I first saw that it made me think it is its own thing seperate from Infantry damage, like a weapon has "Infantry" damage and "Armour Damage", which really confused me many months ago when I was first trying to understand Modifiers, cus basically I was seeing "Armour Damage" yet there was a Armour modifier so that was super messed up how to understand it cus I was like how does that make any sense???, but now I see it as there is just damage which normal/Infantry damage is also 1.0 modifier, then there are modifiers vs armour, Bererkers, Super Armour and Monster (Pack Master). So really I'd really like that Armour mod changed to simply state Infantry damage and either show the modifers vs everything (Eg Handgun does at 1.0 71.75 Damage, Armour modifier 1.2, Berserker 0.75, Super Armour 0.5 and Monster (Which is Pack Master)1.5). Or expand the armory page to show how much damage it would do to everything else (Eg Handgun vs Infantry 71.75 Damage, Armour 86, Berserker 53.75, Super Armour 35.75 and Monster (Which is Pack Master)107.5). Simply stating Infantry Damage and Armour damage is not good enough imo cus that's 2 of 5 Armour Classes possible and I bet some people may have made the same mistake I did when first trying to understand all this, like some new players may thin kArmour also means Super Armour when for most weapons the modifier is different, exceptions are weapons like Ex Sword and great hammer, both having 0.85 vs both Armour and Super Armour. Also because i do not have access to the mod cus I'm on console, I use the Reddit Page which has all the weapons, and it's really annoying that there are a lot of wrong values for multiple weapons cus I assume the armoury in game reflects your current properties or character bonues or something, I hope the offline one isn't exactly the same as the in game one cus if it is for example Dual hammers on bardin and Salt are 100% the same, yet in the offline, it says Salts are weaker in damage, which is flat out wrong. Cus the reddit page damage values cannot be trusted, I refur the the damage calculator which is accurate apart from some of the Dot weapons which i fixed for myself which now correctly reflect what is seen in game 9simply changed the modifiers where change was needed to fix), only thing I use the reddit armoury page for is to find Stamina, Dodge Distance, Dodge Count, Block Angle, Push angle and Cleave and Mass Modifiers, but then again that's another thing Armoury mod doesn't say, wherever a weapon has Cleave through cleave resistant enemies trait, take Dual Hammers and Great Hammer, on both weapons Heavy cleaving attacks, they have the exact samage Cleave values and Mass modifier, yet the Great hammer has the Cleave through cleave resistant enemies trait and the Dual Hammers do not which again led to more confusion for me early on and others thinking it's the Mass modifiers that decide wherever a weapon can cleave through SV/Maulers etc or not when it's literally a different yes or no stat a weapon can have unrelated to Mass Modifiers. So my educated opinion on the Armoury mod overall is that it's over rated, it's too basic and can be missleading without the correct context behind many of the hidden mechanics this game has which you have to find out yourself, only thing damage wise to be trusted is damage calculator spreadsheet for the vast majority of weapons.

Fatshark being so damn slow with QoL and bug fixing made me stop playing quite a few months back (may have even been over a year). The UI thing gives me hope, but at this point I no longer think I would return to the game unfortunately. Part of the problem with that may have been that they just weren't prepared making this game what it could have been. Felt to me they weren't ready for it. Having to change their plan halfway in, shows they do listen to the community, but it slowed down all improvements of the game and new content way too much. If only they had changed the UI and implemented all those QoL featuers (and many more) when they were figuring out which direction to go with it. Don't even have Sister of the Thorn, and I saw in 1 of your videos that the new saltzpyre is already out. Oh well, perhaps the future brings great enough content to pull me back in.
