try pushing dogs in pounce rather than dodging. Dodging seems incredibly inconsistent, half the time they just teleport on you. Pushing has been working fairly consistently for me.
Not Accepted...how will I know what I will never achieve without you telling me? Joke aside, I am really looking forward to your mastery guides! Have fun in the grim darkness of the far future.
The time has come out king, has broken his silence. I agree with your assessment of the weapons, the devils claw and heavy sword seem to struggle a lot with armor and I have not really been able to figure out a way around it.
After just coming off two High Intensity environmental condition Trainyard wins on Damnation (with a PUG even!) it felt great to sit back, relax and watch someone else suffer through the same stuff haha. Man this game gets so crazy with all the gunners and specials while a Monster runs around. But damn does it feel good when you pull through and clinch the win in the end, such elation. There's plenty to complain about in the game but other then Red Solstice 2 on Nightmare with crazy waves nothing gives me a sense of accomplishment like a hard environmental condition Damnation win with Darktide. Hope to see more of your stuff in the future, really enjoyed your VT content, was very educational, especially with regards to traits and stuff to hit breakpoints on elits and specials.
Yeah the game is far from perfect there is no doubt about it but I do enjoy it a lot! As far as guides go I it's much much harder to do proper testing because of the lack of mods that really allow me to have and test everything in a consistent environment so it's gonna take a bit of time to really wrap my head around all of these new blessings and figure out which works best! Anyways I appreciate the kind words and thanks for watching mate! :)
If you're looking for a polished game that gives the same feeling of overcoming insurmountable odds, try Deep Rock Galactic at hazard 5x2... Amazing fun.
@@ThePartyKnife Plus even when the crafting system gets up and running it will be a pain for you to test out all the blessings and really see what works best in different combinations. Unlike, VT2 where you could just keep rerolling weapon properties and perks.
For what it's worth, you are THE Vermintide expert... period. I've never seen anyone break down game mechanics, decision making, and attack sequences like you do. I used to watch a lot of your videos for efficient attack sequences in Vermintide 2. Today, I visited your channel hoping to find more of the same for Darktide but was disappointed to find that you've basically stopped making videos altogether. I used to run a RU-vid channel and understand the burnout, so I personally understand if that's the case for you. However, I just wanted to leave you this message to encourage you to make more videos if it's the case that you're putting too much pressure on yourself to make content. If you have any interest left in making videos, the substance that you create speaks for itself. You don't need any awesome intros or jokes, and you don't need to be flashy at all. People will watch your videos just for your expertise and insight. You could literally just record yourself (audio only) thinking out loud about attack sequences and break points. Anyway, I hope this helps, on way or another. Good day.
Brooo I’m so excited to see your Vermintide-quality type content for Darktide. You were hands down the best VT creator out there, I learned so much from your videos.
Emperor's Wrath did not do much for flamethrower when I tried it. I think that is because it only buffs the direct hit damage, but not the DoT stacks, and the DoTs end up being like 90% of the DPS so it ends up more like a +2.5% damage buff for flamethrower at close range...
Personally with the invulnerability passive I feel like people underestimate the value of it without the healing feat. The healing feat is great and still maybe the best in that row (especially because it makes you more self-sufficient), but having 5s to reposition or drop a stun grenade before you go down drastically improves the chances that your team can pick you up. When I don't run the healing trait, that's how I think about it: my passive procing means I have 5s to prepare for being downed.
Previously also ran with Eviscerator, but the last two days going with the Atrox Mk VII Tactical Axe. Rolled 82% on crit slider, perk +4% crit chance and Tier 2 'Shred' blessing. Getting first crit around every 4-6 hit, but the moment all 3 stacks are present, every second hit is a crit. It also hits harder than a dagger and has penetration stat. Didn't play with it on Tier 5 difficulty, but Tier 4 - High Intensity feels easier now, compared to when I played with the Eviscerator. Sure, hoard cleave is non-existent now with the Axe, but the Elites and Monstrosities are going down faster, plus the survival aspect increased drastically.
Glad to see you back! Take your time for the guides, you are totally right on that matter. I do like the axes on the Zealot, mainly because I feel I proc more times the 75% reduction damage with it. Haven't try it on damnation yet though, so I still think that the lack of CC and cleave will make me go back to the eviscerator. Totally agree with you on the flamethrower making public lobbies more difficult. I love having a Zealot with a FT on my team, but I always play with a safer option, just in case.
Weapons wise i highly recommend you try out the Antax Mk V Combat Axe with Brutal Momentum. The blessing turns that super high dmg single target weapon into a cleaving monster while still having S tier dmg with its overhead single target heavy (weakpoint) hits. Combined with the Flamer or a Sniper for gunners (depends on the team setup) you just become a damnation carry train :)) Moveset for the axe I'm using is something like that: Push/Attack into a coulpe of light attacks with Brutal Momentum (ignoring enemy hit mass so you just hit everything in front of you) and repeat. Also very happy to see new Tide stuff coming from you pal, your vids were the reason i started Vermintde back in the days and now I'm over 2k hs in v2 and addicted to DT as well. All thanks to you :D
Aww! Very much appreciate the kind words my friend! Ill be honest. I'm really struggling to enjoy Darktide as much as I enjoyed Vermintide 2. I feel like the game is at least 1 year of development time away from being anywhere near as good and re-playable as Vermintide 2. But hopefully they will get there sooner!
I'm trying the zelot crit build with a laspistol. I'm not sure that it's possible to work as good as a flamethrower or bolter on hight difficalties (on 1-3 i think that it's much better then them), but I can see some potential if you prefere more agressive style. The laspistol have good mobility very similar to the knife, so you can run very fast with it and have almost infinite dodge. The weapon switch animation is the fastest in the game. Most important it crits a LOT, almost like the knife. So you can have the damage reduction not only in mele. You can pull it out and get few shots when running to the enemy, it doesn't slow you down and you have the damage reduction during the closing and when you reach it's already active instead of waiting for the first shot. You can even trade range fire with a lasteam, because thay just can't break your toughness. The dmage is not amaizing, but not bad eather because of the crits that ignores the armor. When you'r in mele and have the crit staks if you see spetial or elite you can drow it imediatly and melt it because every second shot is a crit, works even on armor, keeping the damage reduction at the same time in case a mob hits you. But it's very important to have good stopping power roll to be able to stugger some of the elites. Also if you run the 1 in the last column you can get your ult fast from a range too.
too many ogryns they arent as common, and mutants, and what like 5 maulers ? there are more in malice im still just taking in the game, tho since the last patches i am able to play on medium settings with barely any dcs i doubt my fps could hold up in damnation especially with psyker and flamer lol also, love the new hair
I will be honest and say I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand the gameplay can be so freaking amazing! But one the other hand... The game seriously feels unfinished and unpolished. and without a proper crafting system yet :/
Hey pk we finally got dark tide on Xbox and I was wondering when we can expect some build guides for chars especially after the new update to the class and skill system.
Early video idea that you could definitely do without a bunch of testing: Map guides and top # of places where not to camp (i.e. usually right in front of the exit is a death trap). So many people fall for this and no one is talking about it.
Running combat knife with crit%/dmg to maniacs with mercy kill and use special action for crit% 77 mobility 70 finesse, can usually close in on range before they get shots off and shut long range enemy down.
So, flamethrower absolutely amazing. No doubt about it. However, there is another super busted mechanic available. Honestly I don't know if it should be called an exploit or not. Seems like it could be intentional, because it's not an autowin button. It's a delete crusher button. You can make your gun do all crits for 2 seconds with Chastise. With the right choice, like an autogun or a very angry shotgun roll, that's just about enough to kill one T5 crusher from close range. I'm doing it consistently with a mk1 autogun that's not even that fancy. This gun also has a flashlight, and is very capable at killing shooters and elites from any range. So it kinda does everything in the zealot's hands, including big armor pierce deeps. I also kinda got there with a shotgun, but the problem is the shotty knocks down the crusher so there is no guarantee of several headshots. The revolver can dish out ridiculous crit damage too, and I think actually the autopistol might be pretty hot with this trick. Oh and if you like the bolter, well how about making it crit every shot :)
It's not crits but something like armour piercing. You can see in the meatgrinder that it's not critting on every shot, and the damage numbers don't resemble crits.
they need to fix when you drop from the game the scrip/grim is deleted, its in rat tide. @ the time of this comment alot of content to talk about, cant wait to see the vet n psyker builds
Suffering? this game is waaaaaaaaaaay too ez When 1 person drops down without notice you let him die, u dont drop until its cleard, this save u wipes and the dying person will learn quickly.
