Finally! I'm so excited! Without spoiling anything, you can do makeup through episode 3, and then, no.

They have heirs but only for the next generation. Remember, two of Charlotte and George's sons died when they were children (before they were five, and in the same year, apparently George kept babbling like he was talking to them) and then their youngest daughter died in her mid-twenties (the daughter Amelia that was talked about in season 1), and what with the one legitimate grandchild (daughter to their eldest son George the Prince Regent and future George the Fourth - who famously hated his wife but apparently did genuinely love his daughter for all of his massive faults) dying in childbirth, the point is that they can't just think of it as 'when one child dies the next one can be the heir', eventually they'll all die and if none of them have any children then it means they'll have to go looking for the nearest cousin to be the heir and half the time that leads to a lot of squabbles (though that's how the Georges became the kings of England in the first place, their family the Hannovers were a small royal family in Germany and were the closest cousins to the last monarch Queen Anne (who had 17 children but lost them all to stillbirth, miscarriages, or illnesses before they were 12 - I don't know how she could bear getting up in the morning after that) so they became the kings of England, even though there were something like 30 closer to the throne but they were all Catholic and the Hannovers were Protestant).

@agenttheater5 I like the way you explained the succession. Most people think, well she gave birth to 15 children, all is well, but that's just part of it.

They couldn't risk a Catholic monarch who would dissolve the Church of England and bow to the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire in Austria. Hanover was in the empire and George III was the Elector of Hanover, so he had a vote for the emperor. But if he had been a Catholic, there was the risk of the British empire being absorbed into the Holy Roman Empire.

Young girls of the nobility were very well aware of their role and duty, which was to make advantageous marriages. By today's standards, it sounds horrible, yes, but that was how it was. To answer your "Why is he distancing so much from her?" about her brother. Because at this point, she is a Queen, whereas he is a Duke. The Crown comes before their family relationship, which is why he is now addressing her with the correct title "Your Majesty", and subsequently "Ma'am". This is what protocol dictates and he is following it very strictly. Can't wait to see the rest of your reactions!

I'm sure your patrons are already all over this, but in case they haven't, allow me to perform shock and outrage: You've never seen Pride and Prejudice (2005) starring Kiera Knightley?????? On the list with it!!

My favorite is Pride and Prejudice-1995 TV Mini Series. Either way, you can't go wrong.

I’ll also toss in a vote for ‘Bride and Prejudice’ - an awesome Bollywood musical version of the classic P&P story! Edit: It’s all in English, for anyone concerned about subtitles

I loved P&P with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. Also Sense & Sensibility with Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Kate Winslet, Hugh Laurie is quite good and very Regency, especially if you preferred Bridgerton 2 over Season 1. I liked season 1 best until QC came along. This is IT‼️💞

Fun fact: White gowns were generally not worn by brides on their wedding day up until the Victorian Era when Queen Victoria herself wore the first white gown to her own wedding to Prince Consort Albert in 1840 (or 1841). Queen Vic made wearing a white wedding dress popular. 😁

Just imagine how different the world would be if this had really happened.
