This latest series had so much potential, but no risks were taken, no real moments where I felt practically anything for any new characters introduced. The only pair I had an inkling for were Gladium and R'tchikk. Both who's story I'd like to know about but I doubt they will tell us anything more about. The only Kryptis I actually cared about was the small creature they named, only for it to die a mission or two later. I just don't feel anything impending or ominous about these new characters. I don't feel any sacrifice has much weight or value other than getting to the next battle. The music is alright at times, but we're fighting another universes' war and I'm not seeing anything remotely looking like a war zone or desperate times.

I think that's most of people's reactions. Wizard's Tower's storyline part was pretty cool, but Nayos'... They should either learn a lesson from it, or lay off the narrative lead - it is the lowest the story of GW2 has been, and to compare it with stories such as in Season 4's... it's like comparing Charles Dickens to random fanfic writer with smut. I miss Tom Abernathy...

@@michramIMO, the problem is in the concept of yearly expacs as it is. One not really deep story at release, another one even less deep after release, and that's it for the expac. I see more potential in Living World concept, but you cant sell it as expacs and hype will going down.

@@michram It's funny because I always noticed a massive tonal and narrative shift in how the world was given to me just after the Icebrood Saga. But yes, When EoD introduced me to an Asura who talked like a NYC cabbie and said "Schmuck" along with other weak dialogue, I knew I wasn't going to appreciate where we were going.

@@michram It started so well with Cerus being a real threat, and Peitha being ominous and manipulating the player character to do certain things. When I saw Eparch, saw Nayos how they have humanised demons. Nuh-uh. Terrible fanfiction writing.
