@Deco Dolly Amen! Freddie is such an amazing lead singer, but they’re such a tight group! I don’t think it would even sound like Queen if you took Brian, Roger, or John out of the equation. They’re ALL great singers, but there’s something about Roger’s voice. His voice alone has so much texture that he makes it sound like there’s a whole choir back there, not to mention that he’s a beast on that drum set. And Brian! He rips out these incredible solos, but he never once makes that rockin’ guitar face, so he makes it look so easy! Which brings me to John Deacon, the sneakiest one of all. He gets the least attention of all of them, but can you imagine a world without those bass solos at the beginning of Under Pressure or Another One Bites the Dust? He’s this quiet genius just hiding in the background, and he seems perfectly content in that humble role, which just makes him that much more endearing. And OF COURSE Freddie! There will never be another, and I for one am glad. This world can only handle so many artists who are that miraculous. If we had too many Freddies, we wouldn’t be able to feel how blessed we are to breathe their same air.
I love seeing reactors experiencing the Queen magic, once you get pulled in, it stays with you, so welcome to the family. From the same Montreal concert "Save Me" is wonderful and from Wembley '86 concert "Under Pressure" and "Who Wants To Live Forever" are epic.
I think you will enjoy their live versions more than the studio ones. They just exploded at their concerts and fed off the joy of the audience. At each performance, they believed the audience deserved 110% of their best efforts no matter how tired or sick they might be. Their largest one night concert was for 250,000 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Their concerts all averaged 2+ hours with almost no break except when Brian gave a guitar solo. Welcome to the magic that is Queen.
I’m SO happy so many young people are discovering Queen for the first time. I was 16 when I first heard Bohemian Rhapsody. You have a lot of catching up to do. You will be impressed..Enjoy..Billions of Queen fans all over the world will be right there with you my friend!!!! Judy D.....
You should watch their 1985 Live Aid set. His crowd control was unbelievable. (Especially considering this wasn't a "Queen" concert.) Definitely worth a watch. 72,000 in attendance, 1.9 Billion via tv. More than 75 different bands played.
Not sure if its been mentioned or not, but Freddie was born with 2 extra teeth in his top jaw. Those two teeth changed the shape of his mouth and was actually a contributing factor to his singing ability. He was literally born to sing. He came with perfect built in acoustics.
Fan at 11 years old....1975! Okay, I'm old. Love your reactions and I react every time he opens his mouth. They are all legends!!! Freddie, Roger, Brian and John! Queen Forever!! BTW Roger had an awesome soprano voice! He kills it too!
I absolutely love watching people discover Queen. Freddie Mercury was a total original and the best showman. I never got to see them live either, but my husband did and he says it was the BEST show he has ever seen, and he's seen a lot. Fortunately, there is a big catalogue of their hits on RU-vid. R.I.P. Freddie.
Loved your reaction, White queen a night at the Odeon 1975 is Brilliant! This is a must see or just close your eyes and listen it will blow you away. Live, no auto tune, just four amazing talents that made Queen. Welcome To The Queendom.
Freddie was one of a kind. You should see their Live Aid concert in 1985. There was 72,000 people there to raise funds for the Ethiopian famine relief.
You must do Live Aid full performance 1985. It's almost 20 min. long but after seeing it you won't believe it's been 20 minutes! It was for the famine in Ethiopia and was seen by 1 1/2 Billion people around the world. Their performance made history. Other than that I would start with some of their early rock and just work forward. Stone Cold Crazy, Liar, Tie Your Mother Down, White Queen, You Take My Breath Away. Yes, Queen fans are the best. We know they are and where the greatest band of all time. There will never be another Freddie Mercury across all genres of music from Rock, to Pop, to Opera (yeah, I said it! Opera.)
You will never find someone who puts more emotion & energy into a performance than Freddie. You just won't ever again. He was beyond incredible, especially live. Next you should react to Another One Bites the Dust (HIGHLY recommend the Live version on Queen's RU-vid channel), Fat Bottomed Girls (Live at the Bowl), or Who Wants to Live Forever (I know everyone recommends Live at Wembley, but trust me - Live at Budapest is even more incredible)
Sawyer Wood I mean there are people who show the same love in different genres but it’s just that. Different genres. But you can’t say Freddie puts more into a performance than anyone ever that’s just disrespectful
@@jlnxn5374 I don't think what I said is disrespectful. I do deeply apologize if it is. Just my honest opinion. It's not to say I think other artists and vocalists aren't EXTREMELY talented and passionate. There's a lot of incredible performers out there. Just saying I don't think it's a fair comparison for me personally. I mean after all, we are talking about the man who was weeks from dying due to complications of AIDS and was still propping himself up on a piano to belt out absolutely anything he could get his hands on. And he kept asking for more and more! Music kept the showman alive and it kept Freddie going probably for far longer than he would've otherwise. That to me is just a completely different level of passion. I just don't see someone like that ever happening again.
Freddie had a rare 6 octave range of voice which is rare. The more you.listen , the more you will.hear it...welcome to an experience you will.be blown away with.i grew up In this era of amazing music...raw true talent.they wrote their own songs too....I.love seeing the younger generation finding out about them....true classic
Welcome to the club, you don’t need to elevate for Queen, actually maybe the second time listening but just dive in and enjoy the best group ever! That performance is absolutely perfection.
Queens catalog is very deep and each song is cutting edge. Freddie , Brian, Roger and John were all masters at what they do. They could all sing and the harmonies were one of a kind. There attention to detail is unmatched and can never be duplicated. There were one of a kind . They were masters of the build up, transition stage performance to say a few things. React to one vision extended version Like your reactions
The last members of Queen are still touring right now!!! The Guitarist Brian May + Drummer Roger Taylor and the additional Keyboardplayer are active since about 2011 again!!! Playing like ever before, even if Freddie is dead since more than 25 years now... But he told them with his last song "The Show must go on"! And Freddie is singing additional some parts of songs on their actual tour as well. He comes up on screen sometimes, look at "Love of my life 2014 Summer Sonic" here on RU-vid!!! Freddie singing the end of this wonderful song even 25 years after his death and Brian May on guitar es he was since the beginnings of Queen!!! Brian May's skills are incredible on guitar and he can song nicely as well!!! Take a look at this Video! "Love of my life 2014 Summer Sonic" here on RU-vid!!!
Queen is an iconic, amazing band . Freddie is a singer that can never been replaced. A talent like no other 😊 there are hundreds of Queen songs , they are absolutely the best !
Freddie Mercury and queen were and are the best of the best unfortunately Freddie died when he was 45 but the band Queen still continues on playing their music that they played when Freddie was still alive he was a Visionary a talented talented man a Visionary way ahead of his time Long Live Freddie Mercury's music fans love
Just saw them live yesterday in Wellington (Queen + AL), un-fxcking-real! Best night of my life, absolutely tore the stadium down, the place was erupting with shear euphoria for 2.5h. Nobody can replace king Freddie, there will be no one like him ever again, but for an 80's kid like me it was a dream come true and would recommend it to anyone!
“Holy crap, this guy can sing,” said in the first 30 seconds. Buckle up and hold on to your beer! Never been a band like Queen and never will be again.
Great reaction! More Queen! Try Love of My Life. Freddie wrote it for his lifelong love Mary Austin. He was bisexual. His other love was Jim Hutton. They both stayed by him until his death November 24,1991.
We do not get musicians that are also entertainers like Freddie he will be missed on many levels but hearing your reaction shows that they can reach everybody no matter on when they were born.
I think you get the same vibe from Freddie Mercury, here, and Michael Jackson because they were both the ultimate performers. They really enjoyed what they did- they were both perfectionists - and knew how important it was to put on a good show for the fans. Not only did they enjoy it themselves - but it brought in $$$. And I just have to say I love your gorgeous smile! I know we can always tell when you are really enjoying the music too! Great reaction!
AWESOME that you wear Headphones! Queen painstakingly recorded, Reel to Reel and their music was recorded specifically for Headphones. Listen to Bohemian Rhapsody AGAIN with Headphones and you will understand. Sincerely, Original Fat Bottom Girl from OHB, NYC. BTW: Fat Bottom Girl WITH Bicycle Race are 2 Queen songs usually played back to back, similar to We Will Rock You & We Are The Champions!
You are in for such a treat exploring Queen. Sooooo many great songs. Live on u tube if you can find them. I am so jealous you get to experience them for the first time. Freddie Mercury, frontman, John Deacon, bass, Brian May, lead guitar, Roger Taylor, drums= Queen!
“I’ve only done one, but have a lot to come”. Yayyyyyyyy! We will watch! And fans will tell you anything and everything you wanna know!!! Love it! Someday please react to Queen’s iconic Live Aid set so you can get a sampling of the energy. Lots of reactions out there, but no one gets tired of them!!🙏🏼
Love that you are discovering Queen! They were great in the studio and even greater live. Most songs have a better live version with some exceptions. Suggestions: Fat Bottomed Girls Live at the Bowl 1982. White Queen Live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975. Save Me, Dragon Attack, Sheer Heart Attack Live in Montreal 1981. If you want to hear the drummer, Roger Taylor do the lead vocal check out I'm In Love With My Car Live in Montreal 1981. Enjoy!
Hey, great reactions to Queen. I truly believe you're ready for the "LIVE-AID" Concert at Wimberley Stadium. You'll won't regret it. But do the entire set they performed.
Tom MacDonald brought me to your channel and your Queen journey made me subscribe! I love watching reactors discover Queen and realize how huge they are and how much of their music they have heard, but didn't know it... Best. Band. EVER!
Live Aid.... you must watching this... they stole the show..,, it’s epic... iconic... and unique!!!!! They are the champions..!!! They are a legend !!! Freddie is one of the kind ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Welcome to the Queen family. Your right his stage presence voice and energy was out of this world. I saw them live in 86 there is nobody even close. Freddie was the best. Check out live aid 85. There you will see what instruments Freddie played. Q What instrument do you play? Freddie. The audience darling
Great reaction! Welcome to the family ;~) "Dragon Attack" from the same concert, especially for the bass work! The bookend of their career to Bo Rhap - "Inunendo" (studio version only) VERY deep.
Sheer brilliance from the whole band, Queen are still performing with Adam Lambert as the lead singer and they are still loved, they just did the full live aid concert in Australia for for Fire Fights , not sure if you know but Australia was devastated from the worst fires in our summer 2019/2020 in our history and the concert was for that charity, check it out one day, no Freddie but Adam is doing a great job and is very respectful to Brian and Roger, Queen 's music will live forever. love your channel, lots of love from Australia, may you and your family/friends all stay safe .
Stay on the Queen journey they will never dissapoint. One piece of advice, always determine whether you like or dislike one of their songs by their live performances and not from a track. The studio actually took away from their talent instead of helping it like it did other artsits. Freddie was a "Human auto tune" lol. Enjoy!! In their live performaces the whole band will make you feel every single note they play.
@@kelleeholmes9448 Lets be honest there is a bit in the instrumentals where Freddie looks like he was high on the music (or had had an orgasm playing it)
They also sing Another one bites the dust, need to checknout. Killer Queen, Tie your mother down, Seven Seas of Rhye So many great hits.❤, my favorite band.👑
Great reaction! Its always exciting to watch someone take the ride with Queen! The Queen concert at Wembley in 1986 is fabulous. From that concert please do "Another One Bites the dust", "Under Pressure", It's a kind of magic", and One Vision (which is about Martin Luther King).
I love watching people experience Queen for the first time. They are truly one-of-a-kind band. There will never be anyone like Freddie Mercury. I was super 🤘🏼when you could pick up on his magnetic energy. You should definitely check out “White Queen” Live in 1975 or “Liar” Live at the Rainbow 1974. You should also sit down with headphones and listen to a Queen album all the way through (Queen II is a good choice).
I love watching new reactors who appreciate Queen! Together for almost 20 years, they had so much music left by Freddie that they put together the Made in Heaven album 4 years after he died. Their live performances are almost always better than the studio version. Some videos are montages of previous videos because Freddie was too ill to do them live. They were being ripped off by their manager after 3 albums (living in small apts & taking the bus) while he was wearing designer suits & driving a new luxury car. Freddie wrote the most savage diss track! They were sued over it, but settled out of court. Most people didn’t even know who it was about until he brought up the lawsuit. Check out the lyric version of “Death on Two Legs” Link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kqVpk0qxmfA.html They were the first band to have all four members inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Check out bassist John Deacon’s “Another One Bites the Dust” live at Wembley in 1986. Link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HnCgN4knr0Y.html Deacon also had a degree in electrical engineering & designed the Deacy Amp, used by guitarist Brian May, to produce the orchestral sounds (like the trumpeting in the last section of Bohemian Rhapsody). We Queen fans are a rabid bunch! Highly protective of the greatest band of superior artists ever put together, with the greatest frontman. Freddie never thought of himself as the star, he was just the “lead singer”. I have too many favorites to list, but anything from Montreal live 1981, Wembley live in 1986, or Live from the Bowl 1982 is phenomenal! They were also great believers in crowd participation, which is why the live shows were so phenomenal. They also did the soundtrack for the original Flash Gordon movie, and contributed 8 songs to the soundtrack of the movie Highlander. New subscriber request! My absolute favorite is “A Kind of Magic” live at Wembley. Link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c2_xWTSyCuU.html The Wembley concert was filmed in the old Wembley (soccer) Stadium in the UK. 2 sold out shows over 2 nights (one in a light rain). Approximately 80,000 fans each night. They used 15 cameras and a second set of speakers in the middle so that hearing Freddie would match with seeing Freddie on the big screen.
@@cherrymcgregor535 yeah It was John who had most alkohol he had a table beehind him with many kind, and back Roger there was beer for him and Brian. On the piano, it was thea with honey, warm wather, juice, cold whater + some beer for Freddie and those who work with them at the stage. Freddie often get problem with his throuth, so he had to have some with honey. When they get a paus Freddie often drink vodka-shot beehind the stage, I saw him drunk on stage one time, singing BoRahp it is or was on YT.
To all musicians of all genres, you are witnessing a clinic. If you wake up every day and don’t bring it to the stage every time like this, think of new career. This one song is better than most set lists
Also the original thrash metal track... Stone Cold Crazy. Also a punk track written in 1974 by Roger Taylor but rejected by the band until Punk took over a couple of years later. Another One Bites The Dust was influential MJ's Thriller album and also influenced hip-hop! Bohemian Rhapsody is considered the first 'promotional video', sparking a revolution in music presentation. They were a band of firsts, records and were always ahead of their, and everyone else's time!
Your reaction was great. I loved it. My favorite queen song is queen killer Queen . I subscribed after seeing this reaction. Great showmanship is just great showmanship. Thank you for taking the time.😀
Lol, epic reaction ;-) Best band ever! Getting to enjoy you discovering Queen AND PTX made my week....just add Disturbed and Heart and you'll make my month
Farrokh Bulsara from Zanzibar. The boy they called "Bucky" because of his overbite. Grew up to become the greatest Rock vocalist in the history of Rock music. His legend will go on forever. Long live Queen.
PLEEEEEAAAASE watch: QUEEN LIVE AT LIVE AID 1985 (full 20 minutes) ... it is considered the greatest stage performance of all time (i see it the same way) ... it got about 90.000 people in the stadium and 1.2 billion viewers on tv (not million, BILLION ... it was the first worldwide broadcast of such an event). you´ll observe the greatest crowd control in history of mankind, probably, haha.
Freddy was dying. There was a song he really wanted to record but no one thought he would even make it to the studio. Legend has it that he walked in, took several large swigs of "stolly" vodka and said "I'll f***ing do it darling" and did it in one take. The song is the show must go on. It's one of my favourites, and is heartbreaking.
Thanks for appreciating true musicians/song writers. A tidbit: The band was PLAN A. PLAN B was to use their college degrees. Freddie: Fashion & Design John (Bass): Electrical Engineer Roger (Drums): Dentist Brian (Guitar): Astrophysicist Unfreakin' believable!!!!!
Hello, you have get a subscriber, I think you are very cool, you love Queen, beer and you smoke hehe thats more than enoth for me 😀 you have great react too! Pleas react to Who whants to live forever, Wembley july 11-86.....there he sing with all the power he had....wow it blow your head of..lol. Live Aid may 13-85 there was 72.000 crowd on Wembley, 94.000 in Philadelphia US. And 1.9 billion tv-viewers.....wow! You take anything you whant from Queen, it will never bee wrong anyway. I have been a Queen-fan since -77 👑🎤🎹🎸🥁🎼💕
You want to see how a professional entertainer takes a crowd (of an estimated 1.2 billion (yes, _billion_ )) into the palm of his hand, and carries them on a wild and awesome journey? React to their complete Live Aid concert. Live Aid was a mega-concert featuring the who's-who in the 80's Rock and Roll scene, and Queen dominated that worldwide concert.
Last comment, I promise! On every early Queen Album, they proudly had it written, NO SYNTHESIZERS USED. I have every Queen Album on vinyl. I even love the "Scratches & Skips"!
Freddie loves crowd interaction. Right before the show started, the facility manager came out and told the crowd to be tame because they were filming. Band was so mad. So they went out and killed it :-)
If you want to see Queen at their absolute best then check out their concerts at Live Aid and the 1986 Wembley concert. Both concerts will blow you way
I love watching their reactions. I see Queen and I can't get here fast enough. I'm a new subscriber today I am definitely in for the Queen journey would you please react to Fat Bottomed Girls. Live at Milton Keynes 82'
Freddie's glass actually had warm tea with honey. He was diagnosed with nodules on his vocal cords in 1975, which made singing painful. He refused to have them removed for fear it would damage his singing voice. He kept the tea/honey on the piano to help soothe his throat during a performance.
I started watching you because of your PTX reactions and I love that you are also reacting to Queen. I even have my four-year-old loving both bands. Watch Queen’s Live Aid performance when you get the chance
The beer is mostly props. - - he had tea with lemon and honey for the voice - beer would make him burp - he seldom took the risk - and the amount of beer in the bottle is the same during the concert. Brian and Roger is still touring as Queen - with a keybordplayer, a bass and an extra drummer - they have Adam Lambert as lead singer. He is not Freddie but he is flamboyant and has stage presence - and a voice that can do everything. They will probably tour the US next year - and they can still sell out stadiums . - and they are in their 70'es.
