How I wish we still had the original lineup with Queensryche! Why does this have to happen. It's not worth it. Your fans are crushed. I know I sure am. I've seen these brilliant musicians five times. Always perfection. These times were the best. Very awesome memories. Miss you guys. 💖🔥🙏
@@laurieshoemaker4641 How fortunate you are to have been so close to masterpiece in action! I've been a fan all my life it seems. I have a sentimental love for Queensryche 🥹
I think this is one of the most beautiful moments Ive ever seen from the band. Those songs like I Will Remember, Killing Words and Della Brown unplugged really show the amazing musicianship between them. So authentic and truly magical. The one and only Queensryche. I miss that sound of Chris Degarmo on the guitar.
I saw them in Spokane where they filmed part of the video for this song after the concert. It was so excellent. Seen them 9 times from ‘86 to ‘92. My favorite band of all time. 🤘🏼
Could you imagine, having a voice like Geoff Tates, I swear to god that man could shatter glass if he wanted to and still can, that's just my analogy. Thank you, Geoff for being such an inspiration to so many
I used to train with his music as a teenager so my voice was very much like his in my prime. A sprained vocal chord later and my range is much less magical these days. But I can still roar ☺️
When it comes to Goeff's vocals, one thing that I find particularly brilliant is his ability to pronounce every syllable with absolute clarity. The only other singers I can think of that were always completely intelligible while pulling high notes are Freddie and Rob Halford. I guess a bit of classical/opera training is the common denominator for all three of them.
Not only a band, but a family respecting each other. I know their background and I can this is one of my favorite band and album from EP to Empire, Chris DeGarmo, a legend of rock and roll one of my favorite guitar player
@@gmquizon6024 That's fantastic! I really admired them greatly as a teenager, training my voice with Geoff's on Mindcrime. Suite Sister Mary has always been one of my all time favorites..They seem like a great team in the video as well ❤️
1993 and my senior year of HS. I was in charge of all the sound equipment for concerts, assemblies, etc. Government class required a big project right before graduation and I chose this song. Instead of boring everyone with some lecture, I plugged in all the equipment I could find and dubbed out Geoff's vocals and recorded myself onto tape. Also provided my own interpretation of his lyrics. That was my submission for finals. Don't remember my final grade and don't care.
Geoff Tate e Chris Degarmo ❤ QUEENSRYCHE nunca será o mesmo sem eles... O carisma, a simpatia deles é contagiante. É sem sombra de dúvidas o MELHOR UNPLUGGED que a MTV já registrou. Duvido outra banda reproduzir músicas com tamanha perfeição! São incríveis ❤.
I don't think your being that way has any bearing, but I may be wrong,I had to basically look for this content though, maybe that's what you mean..this side of Queensryche should be blasted out to everyone, they are brilliant and Tate was a master
@@daveburkley1026 I agree 💯. He's been one of my top male faves my whole life. I trained my voice at 15 with Operation Mindcrime. ("Suite Sister Mary")
You and I long to live like wind upon the water If we close our eyes we'll maybe realize There's more to life than what we have known And I can't believe I've spent so long Living lies I knew were wrong inside I've just begun to see the light Long ago there was a dream, had to make a choice or two Leaving all I loved behind for what nobody knew Stepped out on the stage A life under lights and judging eyes Now the applause has died and I can dream again Is there anybody listening? Is there anyone that sees what's going on? Read between the lines, criticize the words they're selling Think for yourself and feel the walls Become sand beneath your feet Fell the breeze? Time's so near you can almost taste the freedom There's a warm wind from the south Hoist the sail and we'll be gone By morning, this will all seem like a dream And if I don't return to sing the song, maybe just as well I've seen the news and there's not much I can do alone Is there anybody listening? Is there anyone who smiles without a mask? What's behind the words images They know will please us? I'll take what's real Bring up the lights Is there anybody listening? Is there anyone that sees what's going on? Read between the lines Criticize the words they're selling Think for yourself and feel the walls Become sand beneath your feet Close your eyes
@Rick Morgan na, that's his job. If anything, Geoff would have an excuse because he lost his voice at that time, but he was on point as usual. He missed the majority of this song.
