I always feel so bad for Quentin cause hes just so misunderstood. hes a genius and people always ask silly question about his violent movie and stupid proof about his violet movie. hes Hollywood gold.
It always makes me laugh so much when somebody is so bloody 'dumb', that all they can envisage is absolutely every single person asking stupid questions - in this case - thinking that absolutely every single person in the world has the exact same low mentality as the next person. Seriously, I would top myself if I was like LeBane Mark.
Jeez how toxic these comments were 7 years ago 😂 I know exactly what you mean though! I'm Autistic and I relate to him quite a lot actually. Wouldn't surprise me if he is too. Lot's of great people are!
Jonathon Ross is a massive movie buff. He knows alot about movies. He's hardly 'clueless'. It's his opinion, just because you and Quentin Tarantino don't necessarily agree doesn't mean he's wrong.
Quentin + Jonathan dynamic is soo fun! Whenever those two meet - everything comes alive! They have such a spark! It feels they're almost friends behind the cameras, with Jonathan being such a film buff poking fun on Quenting so lively, without being all that starstruck polite noncense Fallon or someone like thaty would do (or at least Jonathan is trying to seem not starstruck - in reality he adores Quentin - I remember Jonathan bying the Kll Bill outfit and the ORIGINAL Kill Bill sword (he showed it on 8 Out of 10 Cats)! How cool is that!)
Quentin Tarantino is genius. The musical scores that he puts in his movies are phenomenal and make his pictures all the more UNIQUE and INTERESTING. Thanks for not settling for crap.
I love this interview, quentin tarantino is a big chracter and unique person... and genuine guy.... johnathon ross is not being a dick, he is being how he is in every interview. and it is friendly banter....JR has interviewed quentin before ... and the other one is even more funny
Quentin comes across as a cooler guy on British interviews then he does on American interviews, he seems more comfortable. I sorta agree with Jonathan Ross about his use of music. I mean I love Inglourious Basterds as a whole but at times the use of music from other films is a bit distracting. It works at times, but at others it sorta sticks out like a sore thumb. Still though, I love everything else about the movie and I hope QT gets an oscar for the screenplay.
those who think Johnathan is mean or whatever in this interview- it must be one of your first times watching him. i loved this interview! LOVE Quentin. Johnathan's humor towards him only further brings out Quentin's personality more and how he handles these situations so perfectly. he never gets offended (not that he should be in any way) and that's why i love Quentin! :)
+Aaron Jones Yeah but he's not funny and always acts like a dick, loves the sound of his own voice. I grew up watching Jonathan Ross and even so, I've never liked him.
his sorta unofficial yet official biography which he endorced from a writer is a great read, he loves Joahnaton Ross because he jokes around but loves same mad movies.
Well, to me that's what makes his shows better than the average one. It's like watching a real conversation between two funny people, instead of being a monotonous interview. To me Ross is the best host out there, I wish we had someone like that in my country (France), it would make for better TV.
Ross is the most frustrating interviewer. He has one of the most interesting people in front of him and all he can think about is making crappy little jokes here and there. Constantly interrupting and not letting Tarantino finish his point
And yet most of you eat it up when Conan does this exact level of shtick. It's all based of early Letterman hijinks. Some imitators pull it off better than others. I'd definitely put Ross above his contemporary interviewers in the UK. At least on Conan's level.
@@FungusMossGnosis completely agree with this. I do like conan, he's incredibly clever and his sense of humour appeals to me and he can do great interviews. on the other hand he can be incredibly annoying and disrespectful and just egotistical. but like you said people lap it up but complain about others
@@FungusMossGnosis I dont like letterman or conan either.... When Tarantino is on, I want to hear Tarantinon not the interview being dominated by a media egomaniac.... very simple.
Ross , STFU !!! Let him speak his a legend . This is why people like Gaham Norton , he lets his guest talk rather than trying to be the center if attention himself
QT is a genius. I'd probably say IB is now my 2nd fave QT film next to Pulp Fiction. Maybe in 10 years it could be #1 but at the moment, Pulp Fiction is still kingpin. But I could comfortably call it a better film that Kill Bill I think. It's seriously glorious.
Tarantino’s decision to use an original score in The Hateful Eight had nothing to do with JR’s comment lmao. Tarantino made Django Unchained AFTER Inglourious Basterds and this very interview with JR, and in Django, Tarantino still used pre-existing music and score. It always comes down to what serves the film, and as Tarantino himself has said, he thought that an orchestral atmospheric score was very appropriate for the story and feel of The Hateful Eight.
He is being deadpan though. I'm not sure how much of Johnathan Ross's shows you've watched but he honestly isn't being offensive, his comments are not serious, this is the way our humour is - deliberately crude but not serious. We tend to make a lot of comments that on the surface seem rude but they are not supposed to be - that's why the audience laughed, they know he's messing around. But Quentin, being American, isn't used to our way and feels that he's being offensive, but he isn't
Given the recent events of the Aurora shooting my heart jumped for a second at the joke at 6:42 thinking I was watching something current and that J-Ross was being insensitive but then I remembered that this was of course uploaded years ago ... :|
