Question - Manfred Mann 

I've loved this song since I heard it for the first time (was 16 or so). Now, I'm 61 and this song still gives me chills whenever I listen to it. One of my all-time favourites.

It reaches my soul everytime I listened to it. July 4 2020. Anyone listening?

I cry everytime i hear this song,it mean so much to me...i dont know why but this song touches me deeply whenever i hear this....

This is a beautiful Piece of Music and the basic melody is quite old (1860's), it is Franz Schubert's Impromptu No. 3 in G flat. Still I adore what Manfred Mann made from it!

I used to hear this song on buses plying the Quiapo-Guadalupe route in the mid-70's. I did'nt know the title coz it was not among the top hits at that time. I got the title from a colleague who heard me singing the few lines of the song which I knew. Tnx to youtube and the uploader, I can now hear this song to my heart's content...GOD BLESS !!!

Great song. I remember my childhood when my father playing this music

Musicaly I had a long run. Born in the early 60's to a couple of musical dino's. They had records of Herp Albert, Grieg and old Sweedish dansmusic. Thank you for that heritage. When I started to buy records my self it was often not the most expencive and modern records I ended up with. But I looked in the recordshops boxes of low priced failed records. And sometimes I found gold. The Roaring silence lp was very cheap and is probably one of my most valuble treasures to this day. An incredible musical eargasm that had a big impact on my future musical preferences. Questions is my pathway to contemperary music. The melancoly and instrumental geniuos of this song hits my central music core.
