The Expanse was picked up by Amazon & season 4 will be out next year on Amazon Prime. Book 8 of the novels was supposed to be released in Oct but got pushed back to beginning of next year :)
I think my favorite videos of yours are the two Ghibli videos (Hows character design and the similaritys between Nausicaa and Mononoke), the one about fatfobia in kids movies, the ones about Moffat and the Weeping Angels and the video about X Man and opression histories.
I just recently subsscribed after seeing your Aggretsuko video (started watching that series on Netflix now!). You have a really pleasant voice (weird comment, yep).
About what you said on political books and preffering fiction: I suggest anything Ursula Le Guin has written. The Left Hand of Darkness and The Dispossessed are great works on fiction. Albert Camus and George Orwell are also good suggestions of anarchist fiction.
@@fandommusings5302 Wonderful! I hope you enjoy it! Here's a link to download some other works of her, if that's of your interest. www.overdrive.com/creators/84391/ursula-k-le-guin Also, if someday you feel like reading some non-fiction on the topic, I suggest "Black Anarchism: A Reader".
Octavia Butler forever! She’s actually my favorite author- wrote my undergrad thesis on the Xenogenesis trilogy, which also explores consent and agency in really interesting ways. Have you read that trilogy (it also exists as a collection called Lilith’s Brood, but I think Xenogenesis sounds cooler lol)
Cheers for answering my questions. Since you mentioned how much you like pokemon a couple of times - What are your thoughts on Detective Pikachu, both the film trailer and the original game?
Bring back Captain Planet, please! Yeah, we know that in America this cartoon is hated for his simplist villains, the simplifications of some complex real life political conflicts and overal backlash against enviromental cartoons, but was so important to bring enviromental themes and racial representations for audiences in Brasil, the animators and screen writers could do more research about the politics to talk about it and spand more with representation of queer and disabled characters. Give it to the team behind the She Ra reboot and Steven Universe team
I like the Hammer Horror movie Scars of Dracula despite knowing it is awful. In it there is the vampire Tania and the tavern working lady Julie, that could been so interesting but are so terribly wasted ! The 70 s were not a good time for women in Hammer films. The two previous decades were far from perfect, but at least some of them tried to develop interesting personalitys in the female characters. In the seventies, they were sadly reduced to screaming girls with big boobs. You could do a video about that.
WB said that Dumbledore is supposed to be gay, but it won't be addressed at all. I am also angry about Depp and Rowling and Yates defense of him that I do not want to go see the movie either.
