Trying Filipino Street Food! Foreigners Try Philippines Food! 🇵🇭 Street Food Philippines vlog
If you are looking to try some Filipino Street Food, consider going to Quiapo Market. This market is filled with food vendors, as well as individual pop-up vendors selling all sorts of stuff. There are also a few vendors that were featured on a RU-vid documentary series, showcasing popular Filipino dishes.
We got an opportunity to try Pancit Palabok and Sotangho, while visiting Quiapo Market. Both Filipino dishes were good and packed with flavor. Also, we got to try a newer, popular cheesy sausage dog, loaded with shredded mozzarella cheese. This was a lot of fun to eat, and the sausage was really good. Fun day of eating at Quiapo Market and I would recommend anyone visiting Manila to give it a try.
Thank you for watching and be sure to hit that like button. Also, I’d love to hear what you thought of the episode. So please feel free to leave a comment below. Have yourself a wonderful day and I’ll see you back in the next episode.

Have you tried the classic Filipino dirty ice cream? Dirty Ice Cream is Filipino ice cream that derived its name from being sold in the streets. The flavours usually include cheese, avocado, chocolate, ube, and mango. As for its name, dirty ice cream has an interesting origin. It is anything but dirty. It got its name because it’s hand-churned and sold in the streets. Filipino mothers, in dissuading their kids, called it “dirty”, but that did not stop them either way. No matter where Filipinos are in the world, the ring of the bell, the sight of the colorful sorbetes cart, and the delicious taste of dirty ice cream can make them smile.

Next time, go to Divisoria market (known as the bargain basement of the city). It's just a stone's throw away from Chinatown. Hope to see you there someday !!!

It was on the list, but we didn't have time to squeeze it in. Yes, we'll have to go back and try that market.

what you ate at the end is Lumpiang Sariwa, which translate to fresh lumpia. Yet it is vegetarian and we also have a fried vegatarian lumpia version called Lumpiang toge. (toge is mung bean sprouts) but it contains other vegetables as well. We have different kinds of lumpia, some is fish based, others vegatables like sweet potato but the most famous and favorite many Filipino's and foreigners alike is "Lumpiang Shanghai" which contains ground pork. Often times when you hear the word lumpia they mean lumpiang shanghai. We have a running joke here that when there is a party lumpiang shanghai is so good that some people literally stole lumpia and put it in their pockets 😂

What's makes the sotanghon soup orange is because of the achuete or annatto seeds.

The red orange colour of the sotanghon noodles and many other Filipino dishes and sauces are from using the all-natural Anato seeds. It now comes in powder form and sold in Filipino stores outside of the Philippines.
