For the butterfly glamour I was thinking it would be nice to remove the gold fabric all together and use just black and butterfly fabric. I just might try that.
I have that book, but would never really consider making it...until now! I don't know if it is the fabric or just seeing it made up, but I love it. I have several books, and kits, but I am afraid of making mistakes when I cut so I've never made one. I know, right???
I love the Diamond Dust pattern, but I had such a difficult time squaring up the rectangles. Thanks for the encouragement, Fran! Maybe I need to try it again. The white with the Cat-i-tude paisleys is so pretty!
Been wanting to make Christmas Forest but am afraid the half rectangle might be a bit challenging. Thanks so much for your instruction. I’m going to attempt this!!!
Like the pattern always nice to see how to make the blocks but when you said slant quarter stitch I don’t like patterns that call for slant hard for me to remember I do slant
I understand Mary. There are a few tools that can help keep a scant quarter inch. If they are not exactly a scant quarter inch that is fine, the important thing is that it is consistent throughout the quilt top.
You will not be able to make both the "A" and "C" half rectangles from the same fabric. You would need 2 yards of 2 of the fabrics fabric #2 and the fabric #1 (or #3 if that is your preference for the diamonds). - Fran
