I personally experienced on the dance floor, that you should have strong eye contact with her at first (you've got her attention alrdy), then keep the talking there short and try to get her as fast as possible outside. To the point with friends: if you got her attention before talking her friends like you most of the time and often even are jealous. So say hi to them very quickly and get out :D

I see guys just like frickin honey bees jumping from girl to girl and they look so obvious and stupid. every girl just curves them because it's so obvious they're numbers guys. it's good for you if you seem picky and to have standards. if a girl eyes you on the dance floor it means something, but you don't necessarily have to approach. in fact the less you approach the more high status you seem because you seem to have standards. girls are used to guys being aggressive and hitting on every girl in the club. if you're sober and you are making eye contact and you seem to be choosy that will carry very well for you. but don't wait too long. it goes both ways. if you make approaches make sure they're measured out with time in between them. but if you don't approach at all it's not good either.
